Can's POV
Sitting here at lunch, I am looking at my friends and family, Sanem has the biggest smile on her face and finally a little color in her cheeks. When the judge gave his decision, I felt the biggest weight lift off my shoulders. I know that Sanem felt it also. Our biggest fear, if only Huma knew, was not her coming back to the agency, but having to let her back into our private lives.
I had told Baba that if we lost the case I would leave the agency, but Sanem and I discussed it in detail and we both were afraid of what would happen if we left and Huma came back. We knew she would try to railroad all the workers to do what she wanted and then the agency would lose most of its clients. Neither one of us wanted that for our Baba. We called Deren, Emre and Leila and had them meet us last night so we could come up with a plan in case we lost. Decisions were made that could be put into place and would leave Huma little authority at the agency. Metin and Emre did not seem to be too concerned that we would lose the agency. They have something up their sleeves but won't tell me anything. Sanem said she asked Leila and she did not have any idea what they could be planning.
Metin's POV
We have returned to the courtroom and as I had guessed, Huma had new people to add to her witnesses. Not only Polen and Yigit but now Ceyda sat in the courtroom. But, no matter what she throws at us I have the biggest bomb to explode and I can't wait. It is finally time that Huma got what she deserved.
Sanem's POV
Walking back into the courtroom I am taken back that Ceyda has now joined Huma's little group. I almost stepped back out, the feeling of hate coming out of this room overwhelmed me, but Can placed his hand in mine and whispered in my ear "we are stronger than all of them", and for him i would fight the world.
The judge entered the court him and asked if everyone was ready, all answered yes.
Hikmet bay called his first witness, Ceyda, to the stand. Metin looked at Can and smiled. Can could only imagine what was going through his head.
"good morning Ms. Ceyda. I only have a couple of questions to ask about your time as a client at Firki Haraki."
"Okay" she smiled and nodded, not looking at Can or Sanem.
"How long were you a client of the agency?"
"Just a few months, they worked on a new campaign for compass sports and then had some issues, both internally and externally, that caused us not to work with them again."
"What issues developed, if I might ask?" Hikmet bay said.
"Well, internally Can and Emre Divit did not get along, I know something happened that almost caused the agency to go bankrupt but since I don't exactly what happened I prefer not to say. Externally, the agency had a client that had cheated another one of their clients and that caused this client to nearly leave, again I am not sure of the details."
"How did the agency's campaign work out for your company?"
"Well, after Can Divit saved it, it went well, but thanks to Sanem's childish ways, it was almost a disaster."
"Can you specify what you mean about Ms.Divit?"
"Evet! She was so infatuated with Can that there were several instances where she distracted everyone from what they were suppose to be doing. She was always hanging onto Can. She also interrupted meetings of the creative team. She forgot to have the correct posters printed that would have caused major issues to our ad campaign."
"Thank you, I have no more questions, your honor."
Metin stood and smiled at Ceyde then he turned a gave Sanem a wink before asking his first question.
"Good morning, thank you for taking time out of, I am sure, your busy schedule to testify today."
Ceyda nodded but did not answer.
"I only have a couple of questions for you. First, were there not several times that you would show up at the agency without an appointment and interrupt the creative team?"
"Can, gave me an open door policy, I was allowed to enter the agency at any time I felt I needed to be there." she answered but shifted in her seat.
Metin smiled "Ah, now I know where the new policy came from. After the campaign was finished did you not continue to appear at the agency?"
"Can and I were friends and he continued to give me the open door policy."
"Did you not attempt to begin a relationship with Can Divit?"
"I was interested in getting to know Can better outside of the agency but nothing ever developed."
"Because Can was in love with Sanem, correct?" he asked.
"I have no idea how Can felt about Sanem at that time."
"Did not Huma try to persuade you into pursuing Can?"
"Objection your honor! What does this have to do with Ms. Huma and the agency?"
"Your honor, Hikmet Bay, brought up the fact that Ms. Ceyda found Sanem to be distracting Can from his work, but she herself, interrupted the creative team only to pursue Can."
"I will allow but for only a few more minutes."
"I only have more one question, who's came up with the idea for the campaign?"
"I am not sure, it was presented to me as a team effort."
"No more questions your honor."
Metin walked back to his seat and Can leaned in "Why did you allow her not to answer that question truthfully?"
"You will see soon." Metin answered.
Hikmet Bay called Polen to the stand.
"Ms. Polen, you were involved with Can Divit for many years before he started working again at the agency, is that correct?"
"Evet! Can and I had been seeing each other for three years,I thought we would marry. he broke it off soon after he came back to Istanbul."
"You are close to Huma, correct?"
"Evet"
"what do you know of her involvement with the agency?"
"She had shares in the agency but had allowed Aziz Bay to run the agency and she was kept informed because she lived outside of the country. She gave her shares to Emre, when Aziz Bay left for treatments, the agency started having problems and she came back."
"Who has control of those shares now?"
"Huma does, she told me that she and Emre discussed this matter and he agreed to sign back those shares to her."
"Did the agency's issues go away after Huma returned?"
"Evet, they seemed to disappear with her running things."
"Thank you, no more questions."
Metin stood "It is my understanding that you live in London. Is that correct?"
"Evet."
"So What type of relationship did you and Can have since both of you lived in different cities?"
"Well, Can traveled a lot for his photography and we decided to meet up three times a year."
"For sex, i mean who calls meeting three times a year a relationship."
"I loved Can very much and I believed he loved me until he joined the agency."
"In fact, Can told you it was over and you along with Huma's help tried to make Sanem believe that you were still in a relationship."
"Objection your honor!"
"Sorry, your honor, I withdraw the question. One last thing, what duties did Huma exactly perform at the agency?"
"I believe she was part of the creative team, plus she did human resources and hired new employees as needed."
"No further questions, your honor"
"Evet, Miss you can step down."
The room was silent as Hikmet stood to call his next witness.
"Your honor, I would like to call Huma Erdamar to the stand."
