rainy day

marcel gagged, as he got a napkin to spit what he had just tried. he made a face, as i laughed and shook my head.
"was it really that bad, marcel?"
"yes! how do u enjoy that??" he coughed and shook his head.
"oh, stop being so dramatic." i smiled and shook my head.
"i'm not, it's the truth."
"whatever." i rolled my eyes, him smiling at me.
"u wanna get the check now?" he asked. i nodded. we got the check, him insisting to pay. i smiled at his consideration. we put our jackets on and headed out of the restaurant. suddenly, it started to rain.
"that's so weird, it never said it was gonna rain today," i said looking up.
"ugh, and we parked the car all the way over there." he pointed to the car, which was multiple feet away from us. i sighed, shivering, since i didn't bring a jacket. i had no need to, anyway.
"hey, u cold?" he asked, him having a jacket on.
i nodded, rubbing my shoulders. he quickly took his jacket off and put it on me.
i smiled. "thanks, marcel."
he nodded and kissed my forehead. we started to run to the car. i didn't see where i was going and suddenly tripped over a rock. marcel immediately caught me before i could fall to the ground.
"woah, are you ok, y/n/n?" he asked softly. my hands automatically wrapped themselves around his neck, our faces just inches apart. for a moment, i admired his face that was soaked in rain.
i smiled and chuckled a little at my clumsiness. "yeah, i'm ok."
he smiled and put me up on my feet. we continued to run to the car, me looking where i was going this time. us both holding hands. we finally got to the car, all soaking wet.
"damn, it's raining hard," he said and looked out the window.
"very."
he looked at me, his wet waves dangling over his face. "u wanna whip up some hot cocoa and binge watch disney movies when we get home?"
i smiled the biggest smile and nodded. "sounds perfect."
