And I run.

Once I turn around I run as fast as I can. I don't even know where I'm running to. Adrenaline pumps through my veins. She said yes. She said yes. What in all the Hades' name. Where in all the world am I running to? Where should I go now? What should I do now?

The bell ring stops all the running thoughts in my head. But I don't think I'll be able to sit down and be quiet in a classroom. Let alone trying to listen to the teacher babbling about crazy stuffs that I'll never use in the future.

"Bro, your hair is on fire you know?"

"What?!" Surprised, I touch my hair and feel the warmth of the flames blazing through my hand as I turn around and face a smirking Connor Stoll. "Oh hey why are ya here?"

"I would like to know why you're running with your whole head burning like a maniac through the hallway even after the bell ring," he replies. "It's quite funny to watch though."

"Ah, I'm... Eh I don't know why but well, the sun is shining and the birds are chirping and it's such an amazing day, so I'm so happy that I get to exist on the earth and experience the beauty of-"

"Whoa Valdez, stop there!" Connor interrupts. "Did Dacota give you his aid drink? Why are you so excited about being alive and going to school, man?"

I should shut up. I believe that I've burned down my whole brain, even though my brain has never been good or what.

"C'mon, hey aren't we buddies? We've pranked so many times together, tell me about the thing that set your hair on fire. What in all the world happened?"

"It's really obvious, Leo. I bet even a kindergarten kid would recognize that you're high." He keeps pressing on.

"I asked Reyna out." I blurt out. Should I tell him? Would he act like Travis who told the whole camp half blood about Malcolm's crush once he heard it? "Fuck I shouldn't have told you."

"Hey Valdez, I'm not Travis. I'm CONNOR. Do I do such an unfaithful thing to my friend? No! Why? Cuz that's my brother's job. My job is to keep the secrets." Conner throws me an innocent look. He wants me to continue. What a moron.

"And you're the one who gives him all the information so that he can be the broadcast. Yeah yeah, such amazing cooperation." I roll my eyes.

"Look, have I ever told Katie that my brother has a HUGE crush on her? Have I ever told Nyssa where Solace would take her out? Have I ever told Nico that Sophie is super into him? Have I ever-"

"Wait, you said Sophie likes who?!" I cut off. "I live under the same roof as her and don't even know a fuck!" Sophie Alison Laurel, you're gonna be so dead when I catch you.

"She didn't? Aww, I thought you were besties," Connor proudly teases. "Yeah, she fell for that Hades boy ever since she laid her eyes on him. I don't have any idea why in all the world someone would like Nico while I don't have a girlfriend..."

"I believe the day you stop being such a baby and not pranking Katie someone sweet would approach. But sadly, that day would never come, HAHA!" It's kinda fun to tease him.

"Says the boy who never dated any girl," Oh my I really want to punch that boy in his face. "Anyway, why are you not in class and burning your head out? You finally man up and asked Reyna?"

"Why aren't you in class?" I retort.

"It's a Stoll thing. Stolls don't go to classes they find boring," he answers. "C'mon tell me and stop babbling off to other stuff!"
