Chapter 36

It was late in the evening when I went back to the beach house. Somehow Shakti made sure that Jai would go back so that I could just be with my thoughts for a while and I really appreciated that. The 15 minutes drive from the hospital to the house was not big, but it felt fruitful as Tejal took hold of my hand and said,

"Let Jai read that Diary, I don't know what it has but I am sure Daksh would want him to read it as well... do what you believe is best in these situation Mitali, talk it out with him, stay by each other's side while you go through this. Surely it won't be difficult for Jai to accept it, but he is a mature man."

I nodded my head and promised her to be me. When we reached our temporary house, it was in a complete chaos there were a load of media situated right outside our house, with Jai, Veer and Naveen along with our parents answering some questions of theirs.

As soon as the car came to a halt a fleet of bodyguards came to our side as they first escorted Shakti and then us. It was a sight to see the way Shakti had a stiff posture I had never seen her that way and it scared me... my eyes followed her as she went and stood beside Veer who kept on frowning at her. And maybe it was just me or it surly happened, but I saw veer muttering something to Shakti to which she glared at him yet her stanza still intact.

What the hell was happening here? I thought but then who was I to even judge things here when my own life was in a mess.

I was still standing there by the door of the car when Jai walked up to me and held me by my waist and whispered in my ears, "It's okay just keep on breathing and if anyone asks you anything make sure you don't give a contradictory answer... try and be as original and practical as possible and smile."

I nodded my head as we made our way to where everyone stood. I still couldn't understand what was this all about. But as I stood there for a minute, and finally dad answered to the reporters my body became stiff.

"we understand that you all are concerned along with all the boards as too who will be taking over the business of the Chauhan's but you all as well must know that Daksh had a far sight he had his own backups of which we are still in search of, we are having a word with his lawyers tomorrow and we assure you that Daksh will be removed from his position only because he isn't well and a proper care will be taken of his and the business, we take the whole responsibility that nor the business and Daksh will be suffering in this situation."

As soon as Jai's dad was done yet another reporter asked a question, "sir there are rumors that this supposed accident was all planned by the Kapadia' especially Jai Kapadia along with the Royals of Rajasthan and The Royals of Mysore. In fact we have also heard that there is possibility that Mr. Chauhan might have a linkage with that of the Mysore Royals."

There was an eerie silence on our end, which was surprisingly ended by Shakti as cleared her throat and said, "your accusations and the rumors are completely wrong the royals of both the states nor do the Kapadia's have anything to do with the accidents. In fact it's one of the biggest losses for us and we are still trying to cope with this. Whereas I, I would surely not decline on the possibility of Daksh having a linkage with that of the Royals of Mysore. As of now we are not sure and rest assured we are looking into it, but it can only be answered when Daksh wakes up. If that would be all we all have had a long day at the hospital we would like to have some privacy."

The reporters seemed not as satisfied with the answers as more questions began to pour in and by the way veer and Rey looked at her it seemed Shakti was in big trouble.

"I had warned you, I had told you not to speak anything. Why do you have to always do the opposite Shakti? For once can't you just listen to me?' Veer's voice boomed throughout the house. The body guards had quite a difficulty but they made sure that none of the reporters were stationed outside the house. And the moment we were inside Veer had lashed out on Shakti, breaking off a few vases here and there while Rey gave her a disappointed look and walked out from there.
