c h a p t e r   s i x t e e n
it is tradition

today they were filming season 3, episode 14, they had just finished filming the scene leading up to the mikaelson ball.

kaitleen was currently getting fitted into her dress. it was a red, off the shoulder gown with sparkled that reflected. it was almost as if the dress was made for her. it took quite a while to get kaitleen's measurements but they had ultimately finished.

now, she had to walk over to hair and makeup. she took her seat that was right next to candice and started chatting with her while the hairdresser styled her hair.

"kait, that dress is stunning!" candice exclaimed, smiling brightly. kait looked over and her eyes opened wide and she gasped seeing candice's dress.

"me? candice look at you, you look marvelous!" kaitleen gushed.

candice was done with her hair and makeup so she had to make her way to set. the two friends muttered some 'see you later's and kaitleen went back on her phone, immediately blushing at her backround.

a few minutes later, her was curled and styled perfectly. she thanked the hairstylist and the makeup artist and made her way to set.

nina, candice, claire, zach, ian, caspar, nate, joseph and daniel as well as all of the extras were already there.

the co-stars all complimented each other and waited for paul to come.

"hey, sorry i'm late." kaitleen heard a familiar voice from behind say. she turned and gasped sharply seeing the view in front of her. standing there was none other then paul wesley, looking extremely handsome.

at his turn, paul saw kaitleen and looked her up and down staring at her beauty. after some gazing, julie told everyone to get in places.

kaitleen, claire, joseph, daniel, caspar, nate and alice (esther) made their way up the stair case.

the rest of the cast spread out on the floor and just like that they had started rolling.

they had finished the first half of the scene and it was now time to dance. starting off with candice and joseph, ian and nina, zach and claire and finally, paul and kaitleen.

kaitleen as cassandra had descended from the stairs and paul as stefan stood looking at ian and nina in jealousy.

"let me guess, brother stole your girl?" kaitleen spoke her line from behind paul.

paul turned around and tried his best not to smile and replied, "something like that." kaitleen hummed and walked closer to paul.

"so what? you're just back now? after faking your death for half a century." paul said looking over at her. kaitleen turned look at him, "is that what my brother told you? that i faked my death and left you both with katerina?"

paul nodded, "stefan my brother daggered me for half a century."

paul hummed, "you know it would be rude not to dance." paul extended his hand.
a smile spread out on kaitleen's face. "it is tradition." she took paul's hand and they walked off to the middle of the floor.

after a few takes, they had finished with the mikaelson ball and were done for the day. kaitleen changed back into her own clothes and walked out of her trailer.

as soon as she turned her head to leave, paul stood there waiting for her.

"hey." he softly said with a smile. "hi." she replied.

"wanna go get coffee? or something?" he proposed,

kaitleen tilted her head slightly and laughed.

"hm, why not."

a/n: this chapter makes me want to throw up i hate it so much. it's not even a thousand word long. also, i really dont know what goes on while filming so this is probably very long.

btw i didnt write the dance because i honestly didnt know how to. but oh well, updated might be slow considering i started my job and ill probably be very busy.
