*Lena and Kara are getting married!*
Kara's POV
I rushed around, sometimes using super speed, sometimes not. This needed to be perfect and I needed to be perfect because, Rao she is perfect. I know with her family history I needed her joining mine to be perfect. And I was making it perfect by running and flying around, making sure we had all the cake, food, decorations, flowers etc.
I wasn't nervous. I was expecting to be nervous but I was surprisingly calm. It all felt so right. It felt right as soon as I had stepped into her office 2 years ago and stared into those piercing green eyes and never stopped staring. I knew in all of my being that she was the love of my life and no one could replace her.
Alex knocked on my door and stepped in after I told her to come in.
'Kara you look beautiful.' She signed and walked over to me, examining my hair and makeup the lady I hired had just completed. My hair was in two half plaits with the rest flowing freely down my back and slightly curled. I had minimal makeup on as I was never really fond of it and Lena has always said she prefers me without.
Lena's POV
I woke up to Kara breathing softly into my neck, her whole body pressed firmly into my side and half on top of me. Her breathing tickled me lightly and I smiled at the love I felt for her in that moment. I took the time to really capture every detail of her face in my mind. Her blue eyes, closed at the moment, with her dark blond eyebrows crinkled a little at the centre as she sleeps. Her nose slowly blowing out breaths and taking in small amounts of air. Her lips kept brushing against my skin when they move to breath and I couldn't help but thank god for the action.
She started to wake up in my arms and I smiled at her, saying a soft 'good morning love' into her hair.
She instantly kissed my neck and replied with a 'good morning' of her own. As she woke up more, she lifted her head, giving me a chance to take in her facial features more.
'You know,' I started not really even registering what I was saying before I said it,' I love your face. Makeup is a great invention and all but you, Kara Danvers, don't need it. You are incredibly beautiful just the way you are. I love you just the way you are.' I exclaimed before kissing her oh so perfect lips deeply.
'Lena Luthor I love your face and I love you too.' She laughed lightly and continued,' you know I might love you more than you love me because I don't think you can top my love.' She smirked playfully.
'That is so not possible. You may be supergirl but you don't have superlove. I love you more.' I remarked.
'Not possible I love you more.'
'No I love you more.'
We carried on like this for a while until I tackled her into a bear hug and she simply kissed whatever skin was closest to her mouth. I sighed in contempt.
Present day...
Lena's POV
I heard slight crashes and noises as I was getting ready, accepting it was probably Kara and not wanting to see her before the wedding. I looked at myself in the mirror and internally smiled at how far I had come. I finally had a family that loved me and couldn't be happier. Maggie came barging in and told me Kara was walking down the aisle and I would be following in a few minutes. We had both agreed she would walk down first after a debate about it. I desperately wanted to see her walk towards me but she had the exact same argument against me. I finally caved in because she was just too cute to say no too.
Maggie was the one who was going to walk me down the aisle as I had none of my actual family members here to do so. Alex had done the job for Kara.
'Are you ready?' Maggie said excitedly.
'I've been ready for 2 years.' I said and the doors opened.
Kara's POV
Oh rao. She looked stunning. My eyes focused in on her and only her. I didn't register the people on the side who stood up as she took her first step or my sister at my side looking between the two of us with a grin. She looked up at me and our eyes locked. I would never tire from looking into her glistening green orbs. I could tell we were both subconsciously smiling from ear to ear, not hiding our love for each other at all. I then looked down at her dress. It was flowing and trailed behind her. I had imagined the image for a long time but my imagination was not even close to how beautiful she looked right now. I looked back up in time for her to mouth something to me. The small 'I love you' she had clearly whispered didn't go unnoticed by Maggie by her side who glanced a little at Lena before realising who she was talking to and obviously mentally excluded herself from our conversation.
I made sure she saw my 'I love you' back and had proof when her red lips turned into a small smile that clearly hid the bigger one she was holding inside.
However, she stopped hiding it when she got to me, giving me the hugest smile I had ever seen on her. I couldn't believe I am lucky enough to see that smile every day for the rest of my life. I am lucky enough to even draw out that smile. She was always quite put together in public but whenever we were alone she'd have that smile. I couldn't get enough of it. And the fact that she had it on right now, even in front of everyone else, meant that this day meant just as much to her as it did to me.
I was tingling with happiness, so overwhelmed by my love for the woman in front of me and as I took her hands, I could almost feel the joy radiating off of her as well.
We were smiling at each other so wide we probably looked like idiots but neither of us cared. Neither of us even acknowledged the people around us, because for me it was just her.
'Hey.' She said softly so it was just directed at me. Her smile never wavered and I felt so proud to be the reason for it.
'Hey.' I replied with my own smile.
'I can't stop smiling.' She admitted goofily with a tint of a blush.
'Neither can I.' I giggled
'Yes but you can't at anytime.' She says in a hushed whisper, still smiling as she said it.
'That's because I know I'll always have you at anytime.' I say back before the priest interrupts our little chat to start the wedding I knew I would remember till the day I die.
The priest babbles on about some random things like where he got his licence and did a long speech about love I barely listened too. I already knew what love is and it was staring at me with a huge grin.
'Now it's time for the vows!' He said happily and turned to me. 'Kara, would you like to proceed.'
I took a deep breath, never really being good at speaking in front of a crowd, but I took one look at my soon to be wife and continued without hesitation.
'Lena. The moment I walked into your office I couldn't stop thinking about you. I think about you all of the time. When I'm at work, when I'm at our house, even when I'm with you I'm thinking about you. You're stuck in my mind and I never want you out of it. And the same goes for life. I never want you to leave my life. I want to be with you forever. I love you.' I finished, wishing I had said more but feeling like those words were the perfect description of my feelings.
Her face looked like it was hurting from smiling too much but somehow it became bigger as I spoke.
I could tell she wanted to kiss me then. I had spent so much time analysing her features I knew what she was thinking pretty much all the time. I saw her glance at my lips and raise her eyebrows slightly. And I knew she had to hold back to say her vows but I also desperately wanted to kiss her.
'Kara.' She finally stopped looking at my lips and met my eyes.'You showed me what family is. I never thought I'd have it. But, as you said, you walked into my office. Then you walked in again. And again. And I never want you to stop walking into my life. First my office, then my heart, then my house, and now my life forever. I don't know what I'd do without you. You amaze me in every single way. I love you too.' I soaked up every word and chiseled it into my brain. To this day, I can't believe she feels the same way I do about her.
The priest then told us to repeat after him and we exchanged rings whilst saying 'I do'. My ring was a green emerald with a silver band and hers was a blue crystal with a silver band. We had both agreed they resembled each other's eyes and though cheesy, we had both secretly loved it.
Then the priest said 5 words I had been waiting to hear for the whole ceremony.
'You may kiss the bride'
Lena slowly brought her hand to the back of my neck and pulled me into her lips. They were soft and sweet and all mine. I placed my hand on her cheek to keep her face steady. The kiss didn't last long as we heard the crowd cheer and we couldn't help but smile, breaking our lips apart.
We stayed with our faces close though, looking into each other's eyes and giggling slightly. As we pulled away, she grabbed my hand, and we walked back down the aisle together as wife and wife.
