Chapter Thirteen

Kokichi's POV:

He did keep is promise in eating all that food. I dont think that he ate anything else that day...

He isn't sleeping right now. Shuichi was studying in the living room so his obnoxious typing wouldn't annoy me. God I love him.

But laying in bed by myself is quite lonely.

Sigh..

I hope he comes to bed soon..

Maybe a nice night time swim could be nice..? But what about Maki...?

I have a feeling something is off with her. She's not like she was when we were kids.

I would hang out with her along the border because she was an orphan, but one day, she completely disappeared.

Feeling the nice summer soft winds hit my face from my now opened window by the bed, I quietly climb out.

No one's here stop being paranoid.

I take off my shirt and shorts in the sand. The waves were calm and made the ocean look like jiggly blue jello.

All I'm left in only my colorful boxers as I step into the chilly water. I feel goosebumps cover my skin. But the warm air acted as a blanket and warmed me up.

Feeling the grains of sand, seashells, and rocks scattered with each step I take. The water covers my shoulder, my chin grazing along the surface.

Then, I dunk my head.

All sounds became distorted, my eyes were shut tight. My whole body relaxed as I sat at the bottom. The bubbles escaping my nose tickled a little, along with the hair slightly grazing my cheek.

I can hold my breath for a long time. Celeste used to torture me, Nagito, and Monaca to act a certain way. If we didnt obey, then we would get in trouble.

It's nice though. Not the almost dying part, but feeling like you're in a different world. Away from all the struggles given to you.

Now I open my eyes, seeing all the colorful small and big fish swimming along. My eyes burn a little due to the salt, but I get over it pretty quickly.

I look around with a smile. I wonder how long I've been under? I'm not really out of breath..

Suddenly, I hear a muffled scream. The water clashes as I see a pair of legs run closer to me, the sand flying under water.

I lift my head up to see Shuichi, his pants rolled up, but still got fairly wet.

"I was g-going to sleep but you weren't there. S-So I went to check out here. What are you doing still u-up?" He asks me.

"Just going for a night swim!" I say happily.

"At 2 am?" Shuichi asks with a slight chuckle.

"Hey! Swimming late at night when no one's around is a good vibe!" I say to him. He smiles at me.

"Yeah a-alright. You can hold y-your breath for long time! I-I was getting worried for a minute." He confesses with a blush.

"Awww how cute! How long was I under Shumai!?" I ask.

"Ah uhm a-about 3 maybe 4 minutes..?" Shuichi estimates.

"Wowie! That is a while. Sorry I worried ya!" I say. I walk closer to the shore until I was standing next to my lover. "Anyways let's go inside now! I'm cold!"
