The past.

Here I sat alone in the dark reminiscing on the past.

For starters the day me and Angelou first met.

She took a deep breath as she looked in the mirror.

It was her first day of school and being nervous was an understatement.

"British hurry yo ass up fo' you miss the buss"her father shouted.

She frowned as her fathers words went through her head.

"This Is my Junior year the least he could do is take me to school"she mumbled to herself.

She picked up her fully supplied book bag and her purse and made her way to the front door.

"Goodbye father"

Groaning he waved his hand at his daughter as she exited their two bedroom apartment.

As she walked down the street she stuffed her hands in her pockets.

With her head down not paying attention to any thing around her she bumped into someone.

"I'm so sorry"She quickly apologized as she bent down to retrieve her things.

"You good baby"the deep voice spoke out.

After picking up the few things that fell she stood up to come face to chest with the person.

Slowly looking up she was meet by a beautiful pair of hazel eyes that held a hint of green in them.

"I'm Angelou"the beautiful man that stood in front of her held out his hand.

She gave him a small smirk and held out her hand "British"

I picked up my glass of wine and took sips from it.

It was kind of cliché the way we met but at least we met.

I nodded my head to some rich gang as I cruised down the street.

The past two weeks has been hectic,my seed still wasn't home and it was killing a nigga.

But I never showed it because I had to be strong for Lani.

I Sniffled and wiped the tears that fell from my eyes,every time I take two steps forward in life I go three steps back.
