"I kind of look like Cinderella." I commented on the beautiful gown my mom picked out for me. It was light blue and off the shoulders with ruffles on the skirt, roses embroidered on the fabric.
"Yes you do, except you won't turn into a pumpkin at midnight." Ichijou echoed through the large, almost empty room.
"I might if they have tasty food down there." I threw him a smile over my shoulder, turning back to look at myself in the mirror trying to flatten my puffy skirt. "Also, you forgot to knock."
"Maybe I was hoping for another free show." He joked, stepping up behind me and taking the brush from my hand.
"Pardon you, young man. I'm Cinderella not Whore-Ella. She's down the hall." I said, enjoying the way he was brushing my hair it reminded me of when my mom would do my hair as a little girl. My dad would try but poor man couldn't even style his own hair, he only tried doing mine after getting jealous of Yagari skills in braiding my hair cutely.
"You don't like Yuki very much, huh?" Ichijou guessed, pinning my locks up.
"The bitch tried killing me so no." I bluntly answered, gaining a snicker from him. "I don't even see why Zero and Kaname like her."
"Honestly, no one does." Ichijou meet my eyes in the mirror for a brief second. "I don't either. I mean I may be the nicest person here but even I think she's terrible, however I think we both know Kaname only likes her because he has to."
"How are you so sure?" I asked softly.
Hearing the fragile tone in my voice, he paused and grabbed my bare shoulders to face him. "Us men voice our complaints to each other just like you girls and he talks about you a lot."
"Are you referring to me as a complaint?" I rose a brow at his now nervous grin, but he continued his point.
"I know a part of you is still angry with Kaname but please give him a chance. He was so worried that night and he wouldn't let anyone in almost like a guard dog. But can you blame him, he cares a lot about you Alexis. Growing up he would tell me all about you and talk about how funny and kind you were like when people praised angels." He then gave me a sad face. "Alexis, please consider forgiving Kaname. Everyone makes mistakes; besides you know the saying love makes you do crazy things."'Yes so I've heard a million times.' I internally rolled my eyes at the phrase that was a common excuse. Sorry honey I murdered your family and the dog because my love for you makes me do fucked up shit sometimes. But I sighed knowing he was right in a way, since this is my best friend that I've been with through thick and thin. My Little John because if anyone is being Robin Hood it's my adorable ass. "You know Ichijou, you're a really good friend." I complimented, patting his chest.
"Thank you." He said bashfully with pink cheeks to match. He then spun me back around to finish his masterpiece. "Just know Alexis if you ever need anyone to talk to for girl talk, since you hate the ones around here, you can talk to me."
"I don't hate ever girl. I like Rima." I corrected. "I think she's adorable, especially with Shiki."
"Do you ship them too!" Ichijou gasped excitedly. "I've always thought they'd be perfect for each other. See, I use to ship you with Kaname, then Kain came into the mix and shockingly Zero. After that I didn't know who'd be a match for you, until I started thinking of the way Aido and you act around each other."
"Woah woah woah." I protested, crossing my arms in an X. "Hold up, there will be no Aido and Alexis shipping here. I already have confusing feelings for three guys, and I don't need another one thrown in."
"Oh, so you do feel something for Kaname, as well as Zero." Ichijou stated with a knowing smile, slightly proud at himself for getting me to confess. "I thought you only loved Kain?"
