"Miss Airay it's a pleasure to see you again." Kaname bowed, placing a kiss on her hand. I could see the mischievous gleam in his eyes already and the daggers my dad was sending his way.

"Oh Kaname, I've told you before to call me Vivian." My mom gushed, cupping her rosy cheeks. "But you've gotten so handsome."

"And you more beautiful." Kaname played along sending my dad a shit-eating smile.

"Okay that's enough you charming bas- punk." Dad corrected himself since they were in a public place. "Stop getting close to my girls." He growled, putting an around his wife and I.

"Now dear don't be so mean tour son-n-law." Mom swatted his chest.

"Son-n-law?!" He exclaimed, spitting venom at the younger brunette. "He's lucky if I let him be my delivery man."

"Mr. Airay I promise you the only things I will be delivering is your daughter's happiness." Kaname pulled me away from my dad's arms into his own. Ben's teeth clenching at the blush on my cheeks as Kaname openly held me and nuzzled his nose against my neck. I could hear faint whispers around us. "And grandchildren for your wife of course."

"G-grandchildren!?" Dad shouted, stomping his way toward Kaname. "Listen here you little shi-"

"Oh, Benny I love this song let's dance." Vivian said tugging her husband onto the dancefloor, far, far away from Kaname and I in fear Ben would embarrass himself.

Kaname sent him a cocky smirk to rival, before turning me around to ask, "May I have this dance?" Though there was no point in answering since he was already leading us into one. At least he asked. "Brings back memories huh?"

"Yeah, except there's no bitchy brat to interrupt us." I mumbled, glancing around the room. I squealed internally at the sight of Rima and Shiki lazily swaying to the music, but that joy dropped seeing Kain with Ruka in his arms. I quickly looked away when his eyes met mine, but I had to quickly look down at my feet to avoid Zero's piercing gaze from the other side of the room.

"No there isn't." I heard Kaname say as he lifted my head up to look at him. It irritated him that she was focus on anyone other than him. He wanted her attention to stay on him. "Alexis I'm sorry. I'm sorry I tried breaking your friendship with Kiryu." He said with sad burgundy eyes. "I'm also sorry for confessing to you at such an inappropriate time. I didn't mean to hurt you in anyway." He didn't feel sorry about the break-up between Kain and I which unknown to me he was watching the whole scene, but it just pains him to see you cry the way you did when it happened.

"I never want you to apologize to me about your feelings." I said, surprising him with how serious I was being. "I want you to be honest with me. I was only mad that you didn't tell me the truth and tried ruining my friendship, relationship, and mental health. But the dishonesty thing is the first issue we're addressing." I was starting to realized I was making it sound like we have a toxic relationship, but we don't....I hope. "We're best friends Kaname above our feelings and actities, I mean activities, we're best friends who should trust each other and tell each other everything. Even if it hurts us." I wrapped my arms around his waist and buried my face in his chest, while he continued to sway us. "I know you only did it to keep the pain away, but that pain would have been bearable because you would have been there to help me through it."

"I'll always be there for you Alexis." He kissed the top of my head. "Despite my jealousy I hated Zero and kept him away from you because he was the one to save you that night and not me. I promised to protect you and I failed. I never want to fail you again so please forgive me."

"I'll forgive you." I said, tilting my head to smile up at him sweetly. "If you let me decapitate Yuki and use her head as a toilet bowl plunger."

"Alexis you can't kill Yuki." He said trying to be stern, but I could see the amusement in his eyes. "There'll be too many questions."
