There are four seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn.
But there were none for Sumire.
They were all dark, and cold. Chilling to the bone, and silhouettes stalking alongside her.
They would grow shadows along her path, and the flowers, plants, wildlife, were nothing but a blur to her hollowed eyes.
The sun's glare deepened her burden, and the smiling faces of her neighbors were taunting sneers.
Everything in life was black...and gray. Not a single pure light shining through.
