Chapter 27: Blood is Thicker than Water

'Raymond,' Lilith answers. Sebastian and Vivian both curse and their eyes widen, hatred and betrayal submerging them.

'You betrayed us?' Sebastian yells out.

'Why?' Vivian whispers, 'Are you working for him?'

'Never, I would never work for that monster, but I am helpless. He has something of mine and he threatened me to find you both then do what you want to gain your trust. He even told me to drive you to the hotel so you can take that woman- Nicole. He wanted you to come there so you would kill her, and he didn't have to. Then, he ordered to get you both to this location and keep you here until he arrives,' Lilith answers as tears gather in her eyes.

'So, everything you said was a lie?' Vivian shouts as she takes a step towards Lilith.

'Don't step forward. I will shoot you, Vivian, and I really don't want to, just stay back. Please, don't make this harder than it already is,' Lilith shakes her head as few tears drop down her cheek.

'You're a fucking liar,' Vivian mutters.

'Hear me out,' Lilith cuts her sentence, 'He has my son,' she cries out, 'He kidnapped my son and he said if I didn't do this then he would kill my child. Vivian, my baby is innocent. He has nothing to do with this, I cannot lose him.'

Vivian's eyes widen, 'How did he find you?'

'I don't know, please, believe me, everything I said to you is true. I AM your sister and I am an orphan, everything is true,' she roughly wipes her tears, 'But I didn't tell you that I am married. We were in Spain for a holiday when we got ambushed by armed men. They killed my husband on the spot because he tried to fight.' Her cries grow noisier, 'T-then they brought me and my child here. They t-took my Mason and told me they knew who I was. They said if I didn't do as they said then they would kill him. I cannot lose him, Vivian, I already lost my husband. This is not my world nor my fight. I didn't ask for any of this. I just want my son back.'

'What did he tell you to do?' Vivian asks heatedly.

'He tracked you when you left your house. They told me I needed to follow you and convince you guys to come with me. Then, I was told to bring you both here and inform him and they would come. Then they would give me my son and I would leave, unharmed,' Lilith whispers.

'You could've told me, we would've helped you,' Vivian yells out.

'I was scared, if I told you both, then you wouldn't come. Every second is important for me, Vivian, please understand,' Lilith begs.

'Where are they?' Sebastian asks.

'I don't know. I went out to inform him and he said he is leaving,' Lilith wipes her nose and sniffles.

Vivian chuckles, 'This is the main reason I don't trust anyone. Friends or family, everyone is FUCKING FAKE. Every fucking person in this world is selfish and greedy.'

She lost her mind right now. She is beyond furious and her heart is breaking. She could not believe her own sister that she met for the first time is betraying her.

Sebastian strokes her hair and pacifies her, he is enraged. Vivian has been through hell, yet he managed to persuade her to listen to Lilith. Now he blames himself because Vivian is hurt again.

'Vivian, I am sorry, it's my fault. I asked you to trust her,' Sebastian whispers into her ear in a low tone.

'It's not your fault, you're too nice to know people's true colours. It is my fault to think I could trust anyone else,' Vivian thoughtfully whispers as she steps back from the hug and glares at Lilith with pure loathing.
