Once everyone knew about what we were looking for, the search was on.
Peter and Alex covered the bottom floor, Gwen and Hope covered floor 2 and 3, Zeus and Josh covered the 4th floor, Sydney and Skylar covered the 5th, Echo and Sage have 6th, and Liza and I took the 7th.
Walking through the dark halls, I had time to reflect on everything. We needed to find numbers, but where?
The lab? On a creep? Where to even start?
I walked deeper and deeper into the unknown.
Just before I opened the door to another room, there was a scream from down stairs.
I made it to the bottom of the stairs and a monster was at my feet, skull smashed in, dead. Liza was in surprise at Alex lip to lip with Peter.
"Well, I guess my business here is done." I said heading back up stairs. "Liza, I'm gonna take Gwen back up with me, you stay down here with the love birds."
She smiled in return "okay."
I ran back up stairs only to find Gwen who now had the case open.
"You ready?" She asked preparing the virus.
"As ready as I'll ever be." I replied shaking at the though of death.
"Alright, tie your arm above the elbow, for the injection."
"Okay, let's go."
She quickly put it into my arm and pressed down. I could feel it coursing through my veins, strong but weak. I fell to my knees. Screaming, I squeezed my arm in pain. Then all was black.

SEVERAL HOURS LATER
I awoke to Gwen shaking me.
"W-what happened?" I stuttered taking heavy breaths.
"You turned, but the antidote works." She said with relief.
"Well, what now?"
"Not sure, but we can start by greeting the others."
"Let's go."
Walking back down stairs, we found the rest of the group handling a few creatures.
"You guys are back!" Liza said running over "did it work?"
"Yeah, but I don't know if we can create enough to heal everyone." Gwen said looking down.
"But there is enough to heal all of us, in the scenario where anyone gets bitten." I smiled laying my hand on Liza's shoulder.
"Okay." Liza smiled.
We continued to scavenge for medicine and food, before walking back to the truck. Alex and Peter found a few food items and a jug of water. Hope and Sage found medicine such as; Advil and Tylenol.
Preparing the truck to leave, Zeus spotted a large horde of freaks heading towards us.
"We need to go now!" I yelled.
Zeus struggled to get the car started. "What the hell is the matter!" Liza screamed pushing him out of the way and starting the car.
"What are you doing?!" Zeus yelled in panic.
"Just get in we have to go!" I said pushing Zeus into the truck. This time I was in the passengers seat.
"You know what you're doing kid?" I asked.
"Yeah, now can we please go?" Liza said stepping on the gas.
"Go to Everett." I said pointing toward the freeway.
"Where?" Liza questioned.
"Just follow this road." I answered.
Once near Everett, I told Liza to stop the car.
"We need to get gas." Liza let out.
"That's why we stopped." I said smirking.
"Then why are we on the outskirts of the city?" Zeus asked stepping out of the truck.
"Come with me." I said and they all followed.
We walked a long time before coming in contact with the actual city. There is a part of the city that is almost empty. The area only has a few houses and gas station.
"Why did we walk?" Liza asked.
"Because, driving in from the freeway leads you to the busiest part of town." I said picking up an empty can of pears.
We entered the area in a few short minutes. The houses were all ransacked and dirty. The gas station however was still fenced off from the outside.
"Alex, Peter, Josh and Zeus." I called out.
"Yes?" Peter answered first.
"Are you guys okay to take this on, while the rest of us search houses?" I questioned them.
"Yeah, we got this." Josh said.
"Okay." I said turning to the rest of the group. "Everyone that is able, we need to search houses and ally ways."
"I'll go!" Liza sprang up. "can I go alone?"
"I don't know, are you up for it?" I laughed at her enthusiasm. "Just be careful."
"I will!" She said running off.
"Now the rest of you, split up and look for supplies. I'm going to stay here and see if I can help the boys." I let out.
"Got it." Gwen and Sage replied
"Everyone stay on guard." I said nodding.
"Why?" Hope asked.
"It's never safe."
