Hey peps! AF the third has 1300 reads! OMFG!!! ^^ <-- me doing my epic face. lawl.

And yeah, this book is also rather close to its end too... and sorry guys, I'm not writing a sequel to this book when i finish it... SORRY.

And yup, here you guys go... Chapter 8:

The small island of Pequeno had just been a small test of how humans would have reacted to the 'scary' and 'about-to-attack' fairies. And it had ended perfectly well as she had expected.

Opal knew no one could stop her once she had taken over the whole human television broadcasting system. She had even prepared a script for what her men had to say in front of the big screen.

"We, the fairies who live below you, are coming to attack you all!" Opal heard Julm practicing what he had to say, plus the huge teeth and pointed ears of course.

"Excellent, dear Julm," she smiled, her eyes glimmering in the pits of pure evil. As Julm practiced, she easily hacked into the broadcasting schedule and had her own show put in roughly 30 minutes.

"Let's get this show on the road, people!" she ordered as they entered the building. The mud-men were already mesmered. No problem at all.

-----

Damn. Opal's at the International Broadcasting Station. And that means she'll be able to get anyone with a television to know about the fairies existence, Artemis thought to himself as they hurried towards the above mentioned location.

"Any plans on what we ought to do?" Holly asked him as they neared the tall building. "How about you just fight with everything you've got against Opal? And I'll somehow stop her... With a bit of luck and time of course," Artemis gave a small smile.

"Well, you should try to hide yourself at least, if she finds out about you, she'll probably send her dogs to kill you first," Holly replied as Foaly appeared with an invisibility cloak. "Put this on, you'll go in with us and hopefully something will come up then."

Artemis nodded. And thus, they made their way to the place, entering the building where there were plenty of huge fairies ready to attack.

Holly held close her Neutrino 2000 (she still preferred it to its newer generations) and Trouble and Foaly followed behind with their Neutrino 4000s. Artemis followed behind in the invisibility cloak.

"Attack!" the largest fairy yowled as the battle sprung into action. There was soon a great amount of wisps of laser shooting everywhere. Although Holly, Trouble and Foaly were at a disadvantage with fewer people, they were still going strong.

Artemis, while no one was blocking or had noticed him, climbed up towards the highest level of the building where the airing was held. The 50th floor? He gave a growl as he ran up the stairs as quick as he could.

Fortunately, he survived and made it up in time to see the light which meant five more minutes to airing. The door was over there by the corner. Behind it was his enemy. Now, to think...

And just as he stood there, he noticed the door open as he hid in a corner. "Five more minutes until I get the civil war I wanted... Now for some refreshments..." a female voice purred to herself as it trailed away. Opal? This was the perfect chance!

He slipped into the room and was for a single second shocked by the buttons and controls. No, he thought quickly, I'm a genius! This is nothing at all!

As he quickly set off typing away the codes and hacking into the simple system, he felt a presence behind him. Who could it be...?

"Only Opal can assess the screen! You go away!" the voice boomed from the presence. Crap.

A punch headed towards me as the attacker paused for a second. Was he surprised I had evaded his fist?

Looking back, I saw a figure of my height but much greater in strength definitely. And of course in experience, judging by the scars on his face.

And definitely a fairy. Who was with Opal. Now this was bad.

He lunged forward as I jumped off the chair. Wow, he was quick. Now it was not a battle between brains and brawn, but a fight of strength. All I had were my bare hands to defend myself from this enemy. Instantly, I assume my stance and prepare for the violence about to inflict. This was going to be ugly.

He went behind me to attempt a strike from behind. I leapt back and elbowed him in the neck, crushing his windpipe and knocking him over. He coughs sightly. Immediately taking advantage of the situation, I hit him in the back hard.

As he got up, I distanced myself away from him, beckoning him to attack me. He rushes towards me with a clenched fist and I pulled his arm forward, making him fall and writhe in pain, before I landed a kick to his stomach. He shouldn't bother me now.

Just as I had finished with that hulk of a fairy, another came.

Like the first, he was all fight with no real technique. As he tried to catch me in his grasp, I drop and scissor-kick him delivering a painful kick to the neck while he falls, causing a sickening crumpling sound.

I rolled away, and noticed him trying to get up. I swiftly landed a few punches and he ended the same way as the fairy hulk no.1.

"Malvado! Julm! Get ready! We're up in one minute!" Opal. Her eyes were full of pleasure before she entered the room but upon seeing the sight of two knocked out fairies and a human she had not idea of turned them into eyes of fury.

It was then she noticed how much this human... This boy looked like a particular mud-man she hated. "Artemis Fowl? I thought I'd killed you...?" she stuttered as Artemis gave his best vampire smile.

"That, would be my father, bitch," he snarled as his blue eyes turned cold and aloof. "A...son?"

Artemis gave a small smirk before nodding. "How...?" Opal asked as Artemis stepped closer.

Artemis said simply, "I'm but one heck of a genius. And your hulks? I guess my fighting skills were simply too much for them."

Opal chuckled as she suddenly whipped out a gun. A Neutrino 4000. "You think you're so smart?"

Artemis gazed at her for a second before admitting, "No, I'm smarter and more than your match."

And before Opal could shoot, Artemis was gone.

-----

Artemis was under the invisibility cloak. He quietly ran to Opal's back and landed a painful kick which ended up with a knocked out Kaboi. "That was easy," he murmured to himself before running down the stairs to realize that Holly, Trouble and Foaly were already perfectly fine.

They went up to clear up the mess that Opal had made and they were rather surprised to see the three knocked out fairies.

"You never told us you could fight," Foaly told Artemis as he shrugged. "You never asked. And Juliet thought it was a great idea to have both brains and brawn..."
