Hey guys! Imagine my happiness when I came back and saw AF3 reached 1500 reads! That's just amazing! >

Yeah, due to the fact of my brain can't spin anymore tales about Artemis, I will not be writing a sequel after this chapter... :( Also cause I wish to dedicate my efforts to my other books -.-

Hopefully all of you guys enjoyed this rather short story and I must say I have enjoyed writing it as well :) Perhaps, just maybe, I might write the sequel, but the chances of that are rather minimal.

Once again, Artemis 2 or Arty is Artemis the Second and Artemis is Artemis the Third. Understood? Are we clear?

Okay, I won't talk any longer, I see everyone is bored of my long A/N...

Chapter 9:

Artemis looked at the bed of his father. Artemis the Second lay coldly on the hospital bed, unmoving. The Third looked away as he sat on the couch, next to the fairy who had come to see his father as well.

What was the point of stopping the damned Opal Kaboi if it didn't mean anything to help his father? He may have saved the world, but what about his dad?

Opal now was back at the fairy prison, and Foaly and Trouble were there in Haven City as well. Holly was here with him, and she clutched his hand tightly.

"Hey Artemis... if there's anything I can do to help Arty, I will... but..." she said before an idea hit her. "I can try healing him with my magic!"

Artemis looked at her before he realised: Elves could heal after all! But... would it work?

"I've healed your father many times but I don't know if it will work..." she said before Artemis just nodded.

Holly went forward to Artemis the Second and placed her hand over him. Flashes of light flowed from her to Artemis 2 before she raised it away.

Nothing. It had not worked? They went forward to Artemis before Holly muttered, "Sorry... he really had been..."

And then there was stirring. Was Artemis okay? His eyelids slowly flickered open to reveal two cold yet joyful blue and hazel eyes.

"Artemis...? Holly...?" Artemis 2 asked as he looked at his two visitors. "What happened?"

Holly smiled at him before she explained the whole story to him as he nodded and made comments occasionally.

He looked at Artemis and beamed. Not the vampire or fake way as he usually did, but a real genuine one.

"Nice to know that you're so capable, son, and I'm glad." He said as Artemis smiled in return. It was not often he recieved praises from Artemis 2.

"Now would you leave me and Holly alone for a while? Maybe you could get some snacks for yourself or something," Artemis 2 requested before Holly and him were alone in the room.

"Your son is as amazing as you, Arty."

"No, that would be too much a compliment. Thank you for helping him."

"I didn't really. Most of the save-the-world thing he did himself-"

"I missed you, Holly. I hoped you had been well on the moon."

"How did you...? Oh wait, you never forgot us did you?"

"Of course not. I hack into your systems once in a while to check on you all. And I see Foaly still doesn't trust me."

A chuckle. "Yeah. I'm glad you're okay. But why did you never tell Artemis about us?"

"I just didn't want him to have to weird out about you guys."

An awkward silence.

"Where's Artemis' mother anyway?"

"We divorced. Not that I regret that."

"I see."

The hazel and blue eyes looked into each other's as they slowly closed in.

Artemis had heard the whole conversation inside the room from the door. So his hypothesis had been right. His father did like Holly. And alot even.

And the hazel eye that he had. Had been Holly's.

He smirked. The reason why his biological mother had not even bothered with his father any longer was because his father would never love anyone else.

And he would support that.

~A week later~

The business deal had been closed and the Fowls back in the Fowl Manor. Artemis looked up from his laptop to see Holly looking at him.

"Hi Holly. Here to see father again?" he asked cheerfully as Holly smiled. "What else?"

Artemis 2 arrived out from his study room and greeted the elf before they headed out, leaving Artemis within the house alone.

Wasn't his father too... old to go out on a date? He shrugged as he trembled at the thought of the LEP officer being his... mother.

He had said he supported the relationship after all. Though he bet Trouble wouldn't be too happy about this.

He went back to his room, where he found the homework that he had not done a mess on his study table. Quick as a flash, he finished it.

Going out into the garden, he saw Juliet getting the food ready. He dropped on the grass and looked up at the sky.

Life would be different. Weird. After all, how was living with the existence of fairies ever normal? But this was the boy who stopped an evil pixie from her plan to rule humans you were talking about. Weird didn't exist in his dictionary.

With his real smile, he closed his eyes in rest.

Sniffle... It's the end of Artemis Fowl the Third :(((

Hope you all liked the ending! Especially ArtemisxHolly fans! Though I was thinking about Artemis 3 as well... but you have to note the age diff...

Again, there will be no sequel to this short story but after it reached an amount of reads I'm thinking of editing it... maybe...

Bye guys! Thanks for sticking with me throughout the story! Love you all
