Author's note: The character Y/n a has name since I don't really like using Y/n. The name being Nami. It means wave in Japanese for you curious souls.

I've always loved hanging out with friends. Don't get me wrong they can annoy me sometimes but I would never pass down an opportunity to hang out with them, especially when it comes to going to my favourite beach. This specific beach I love mainly because of the history. It's full of ship wrecks dating back hundreds of thousands of years ago. It's really interesting to read about. It's a cursed shoreline for sure. The museum here has some things from those found ship wrecks but the one that sparks my attention the most, is the one no one knows what it is. Been called all sorts. My dream is to one day be the one to find out what exactly it is. It could uncover so much that we don't know. Another small ounce of history known. I hope I'm able to accomplish my dream one day.

One thing has sparked this dream of mine. My brother. He was an amazing brother but went missing little over 10 years ago now. No one knows how but my gut feeling says it was because of the rumour. The rumour of that ship wreck. I want to find out if the rumour is true without it being me who is the test subject for it. If it's true, it's one step closer to figuring out the history of the ship.

"Nami!" I hear my friend shouts snapping me out of my thoughts.

I look over to her to see what she wanted.

"Come over here!" she shouts.

why? The one question spinning around my head as I make my way over to my loud, extrovert of a friend. As I approach her, I notice she's staring at an old ship wreck. I easily and quickly recognise the ship as the one that has so many theories and mysteries surrounding it. I also remember my great grandfather talking about this ship as if one of our ancestors were one of the crew of it. The theories go from it being a Spanish galleon to a viking long boat. No one knows for sure how old it is, the only hints being the skeletons of the discovered crew members that surround this ship.

"Stand in the center of it. I'll take a picture. It would look amazing for a profile pic." She says, bubbling with excitement.

Has she not heard the rumors of the people who have but gone missing? I don't want to be one of those people if I am to be honest. I look at her as if she was a crazy woman which she just gives me a confused look back making my sigh.

"Have you not heard the rumours of those who have gone in the middle of that wreckage?" I question her, raising an eyebrow.

"You seriously don't believe that do you? It's not true. Something like that doesn't just happen. It's impossible Nami." She lectures.

"You never know, they could be true. I'd rather stay alive thanks." I say giving her a stern look.

"Oh come on. It'll be quick. It won't take long I promise." She begs.

Something is telling me that it's true. Something is telling me that I shouldn't do it otherwise I'll become one of those missing. She gives me pleading eyes, puppy dog eyes, that I struggle saying no too. I sigh in defeat and hesitantly start making my way closer to the ship wreck. Anxiousness creeps inside of me. I hear her squeal out of happiness. I push my thoughts and feelings aside and step into the wreckage. I walk to the center and turn to her. I smile and pose as she takes a picture.

She takes a couple, all the while I see this faint turquoise glow come from underneath me. I ignore it but something is telling me to run. Again I ignore the feeling and concentrate on something else. A coupe minutes go by, and the glow gets brighter and bigger. my friend notices and signals me to come back to her side. I try going to her side but I don't move. It's like I'm stuck in sinking sand just not sicking down into the earth. I try running but I don't move. Panic and fear rises in me. I don't want to end up like those who have been through this. They were never found. I keep trying to move but my body is unresponsive. My friend panics and tried reaching forward to grab me to pull me out but fails. She keeps trying until the light gets too much and almost blinds her.

It isn't long before the glow surrounds the whole wreckage with me inside. Dizziness hits me and I start feeling faint but keep fighting to stay awake. I can hear my friends voice, calling me, panic and fear, heard clearly. I feel the air thicken, making it hard to breathe. I feel a force pulling me somewhere and that's when everything goes black. Everything goes quiet.
