They hate each other

But they learn to love each other eventually

Anyways

Tord comes back, Tom is pissed, Edd is happy, so on and so forth...

Then the Robot happens and Edd gets pissed, rants about how he loves Tord, Tord also apparently had a crush on Edd  but its too late bc Edd finds the harpoon gun in the rubble and EDD IS THE ONE TO DESTROY THE ROBOT and basically tells Tord he hates him now and blah bleh bluh...

Edd starts to question Tom and Matt's loyalty as well and goes insane, cue Shovel villain probably
