Why was Virgil out in the middle of the forest again? Oh, right, cause Logan couldnt go and get his own rock samples himself and needed Virgil to do it. Had he wanted to? No. But Logan didnt care and Virgil didnt feel like arguing. So he had made sure to pack his bag tight and headed out. Luckily Logan at least let him go out when it wasnt so bright. You see, Virgil is a vampire and although he can go out in daylight, he still hates it and prefers the darker days when going out. So here he was, in the middle of the forest, searching for rocks as the sun set. Just as he thought he had collected enough, a twig snapped and caused the young vampire to jump.
"Who's there?!" He shone his flashlight around to find the source but only saw the greens and browns of the forest. Sighing he started heading back, but was soon caught in a giant, snake like  deep green tail.
"Dee dee, Roman, I caught us dinner~" Cirgil tried frantically to get away but couldnt escape the coils as he looked up and saw what appeared to be a giant face smirking at him, mustache crooked as he watched his prey struggling. Two more of these snake people showed up, hissing at the small vampire
"Hes too small for all of us Remus!" The yellow tailed one smacked 'Remus' in the back of the head
"He could be an appetizer!!" Remus grabbed him in his hand and lifted him up fir the other two to see clearly. Virgil held tightly to his thumb for support. He hated heights and his breathing proved that.
"Careful brother! Hes fragile!" The red tailed one grabbed him, his grip gentler than Remuss. Virgil was starting to hyperventilate as the red one stroked his back "Shhhh, it's okay now" Virgil had begun to calm from the touch and tone. His bag lying on the ground and supplies strewn all over the forest floor. He looked for a way out but found none, beating on the hand in which held him
"L-Let me go!!" He kicked, doing nothing but annoying Remus.
"Shut up will ya?" He flicked the vampire  trying to be gentle but ending up knocking him out. The yellow one sighed
"Hed better not be dead Remus."
"He wont be!!" The yellow sighed and they all headed back to their cave. Holding Virgil to his chest. The young Vampire slept, curled up tightly against his chest. Remus kept glancing over to check on him. "I'll go finish our hunt, get a deer or something." The yellow nods
"Roman go with him." The red nods and goes off with Remus. The yellow, DeeDee, stroked the vampire, getting comfy once in their cave and setting the vampire in his coils carefully. He curled up some in them and slept more. Deedee calmed, seeing him move and smiled some. "At least you're okay." He started petting him softly, careful not to push down. The vampire shifted to his stomach before starting to sit up. Waking up and looking around sleepily. Deedee watched him, his hand beside the Vampire, who soon realized what he was on and screamed, looking at Deedees face and scrambling back, screaming and shaking
"Hey, woah, shhhh, you're alright." He gently stroked his back, causing him to shake more.
"W-What are you going to do with me...?" He hugged himself tightly, tearing up.
"Nothing darling, just gonna keep you safe here." He stroked his back, flicking his forked tongue some.
"I-I wanna go home..." DeeDee shook his head some.
"You're safer here darling~ I'm Janus, Remus and Roman call me DeeDee though." He put his finger out for Virgil to shake. The small Vampire shook his head, smacking the hand away.
"No! I want to go home!" After realizing what he did he started to shake more. "I-Im sorry, I wasnt th-thinking! Dont eat me please!!" He curled up tightly, hands over his head.
Janus sighed softly, gently petting him more "I'll allow it this time, but this is the only time, understand? You are staying here, and you're going to-" Janus was cut off by shouting and the twins rushing in.
"DeeDee!! We found more!!" Remus held two humans up proudly, Virgil looked over and cried more, reaching for the two
"Logan! Patton!" He shook, crying and Janus looked down to his vampire, gently lifting him up by his hips
"You know them?" Virgil nodded quickly, trying to look back at them but Janus wouldnt allow it.
"Please... Dont hurt them...! I-Ill do anything!" Janus thought fir a minute before setting Virgil back down on his coils.
"Stay." He commanded before looking to the twins. "You may both have one, but dont eat them, they're our new pets." All the non nagas froze, looking to each other fearfully. Patton looked between the twins, wondering which would be better.
"I want the happy one!" Roman smiled, taking Patton from Remus and nuzzling him to his face. Patton squeaked and tried to push away but couldnt. Logan looked to Janus.
"I apologize, but none of us are pets. Patton and I are humans, which is a species that is free. Virgil is a vampire which also classifies under the free species class, therefore we are not pets." He fixed his glasses as Remus awed, nuzzling him close.
"Daww, he thinks he has a choice!!" He giggled and nuzzled him with his nose. "My own little human!!" Logan groaned some and tried pushing away.
Virgil watched, unable to help his friends without Janus getting upset. He shook more.
"P-Please... dont hurt them" he looked up at Janus who sighed some.
"Alright, that's enough boys. Relax some." He pet Virgil and watched the twins set the humans on their own coils after getting comfortable. Patton tried to go over to Virgil but Roman kept him in his coils.
"Stay calm little one~ You're safer right there~" he pet Patton gently and watched the small one looking to his friend.
"He needs some blood sir... He hasn't had it in a few days and needs it. Itll only be a few minutes and I'll come right back. Please." He looked up pleadingly
Roman nodded some "Alright, but only if Janus is fine with it baby." He picked up Patton and Janus nodded, lifting Virgil up and setting him on the floor. Roman set Patton down by Virgil and watched as he directed Patton to his neck, allowing him to bite and drink. Roman watched suriously as Virgil helped Patton stand after a few minutes. Roman watched closely, getting ready to stop Virgil when he pulled away. Pattons eyes were fluttering closed as he leaned against Roman's tail. Virgil was licking off the blood from his lips.
"Thanks Pat."
"No... problem Kiddi..." He panted some and Roman scooped him up, laying him in his coils. He didnt struggle, falling asleep almost instantly. Janus did the same with Virgil, earning some fighting but not much as the vampire had filled up and was now tired again. Janus laid his hand over Virgil lightly and rubbed his side as he drifted off to sleep  leaving Logan the only awake human in the cave. Remus watched as the human took off his bag and pulled out a notebook and pencil
"Would you guys mind if I did some research? I havent seen anything like you three before." Remus smiled and pat his head
"Of course little one."
