I look over to the boy who I assume is Lathan."Lathan, this is Amari," Rosko said with a spoonful of captain crunch in his mouth.
"Sister?" Lathan asked.
"Something like that." Rosko turned towards me " Mari, Lathan just moved into the apartment complex next door. He's also my new business partner." I partially knew what kind of work Rosko did. He never wanted to fully tell me. He worked from home for the most part, and I was not allowed to go in the basement."Anyway, Mari, I'm gonna head down to the basement. Lathan, you can come down when you're ready."
I looked at Rosko, puzzled."How come he can go down there, and I can't."
Rosko stood up and rested his hand on my shoulder. "Because unlike him, you have these dishes to wash and this grocery to put away."
"I'll help her pack," Lathan said sincerely
"Okay, meet me downstairs when you're done with that." Rosko turned and went to the door that led downstairs.
"Thanks for the help Lathan, I appreciate it."
"You could call me Mosey, Lathan's too formal."
"Okay then 'Mosey' could you start on the dishes, I'm heading to the pantry to put these things away." I stopped and turned to him, "Call me Mari, Amari's too formal." He gave me a slight smirk, and I headed to the pantry.
A few moments later
Okay finished
I get a few things to take up to my room. I then see an arm wrap around me and grab some skittles.
"Where you headed too?"
"Jay please get off of me."
