GEORDI'S POV
A smile was all he gave to me before he completely walked past me, as if we were complete strangers. He never dared to approach me after what I've said to him yesterday.
"So.. Your answer?"
He never answered my question and simply stood up and left, leaving me in complete silence and all I heard were murmurs and the bells dinging as he slowly left my sight.
I felt numb. I didn't know this was the feeling of being rejected, even if I didn't have any genuine feelings for him.
Did my plan fail? No. I won't let that happen. I have to save Nathann, even if this means risking my own relationship. Fred is understanding... I know he trusts me.

Cooking class ended earlier than usual which made me question but I just shrugged it off. Taking off my apron, I washed my hands with warm water that was placed in a small basin beside me. Drying them off by mere shaking, I left the room and went on a walk by the campus plaza.
Looking up, my gaze landed on Nathann who was sitting under the tree with his worn out sketchpad on his lap, the usual spot where he always sat. Pity washed over me as a small smile was etched on his face as he drew.
He'll never get to draw again if he... Dies, huh?
I walked up to him, sitting beside him which made him jump. Standing up, I grabbed him by the wrist which forced him to sit back again. An annoyed sigh came from him.
"Geor, please. Not now. Fix your relationship with Fred. He's the best guy for you, okay? Don't lose him." He murmured as he tried to take back his wrist but I only tightened my grip on him,
"I already told you, Nathann. I like you. I want you. Please. You're not a rebound, okay?" I told him and his gaze softened but was immediately showered by a look of coldness,
"No. I don't believe you. I'm sorry to say this to you, Geor, after all, we were friends for a very long time but, leave me alone." He stated coldly before getting out of my grip and walked away.
His figure became smaller and smaller as he walked away and I felt myself tearing up.
He's gonna die... And he also lost a friend... Why... Is life so cruel?
