GEORDI'S POV

The feeling of cold breeze against my face as I drove myself, Fredrick and Nathann to the woods was calming, I must say.

It was nice to know that maybe tonight... Tonight we can forget everything that's happening and just have fun even for just a day.

"Alrighty, we've arrived!"

The sun was already setting when we finished setting up camp. Nathann was already sitting by the campfire while Fredrick was making s'mores.

Sitting in between them, I let out a small sigh and clasped my hands, making the two look at me weirdly.

"What?" I asked innocently,

"Are you gonna pray or something?" Nathann commented as he stuffed his mouth with s'mores,

"Well, praying isn't a bad thing but... I wanna make an announcement!"

"Now that's fancy." Fredrick commented,

"Where are you living, in the 14s? Stop the fancy words." Nathann jokingly told Fred,

"But you said it too?" I pointed out and he let out a soft click of a tongue before I pulled out the trump card of the night,

ALCOHOL!

"Wait, we're drinking? I didn't bring any snacks." Fredrick said as he frowned and I chuckled,

"Drinking doesn't always involve snacks, my dear."

Popping off the caps of two beers, I handed them to Fredrick and Nathann, and immediately the latter chugged the whole thing down.

"Well, aren't you drinking?" Fredrick handed me a beer but I shook my head,

"I'll be driving us tomorrow."

Giving me a shrug as a reply, he chugged the whole thing down, too.

This is a night full of drunkards, I assume. I mean, what did I expect? I brought alcohol, for goodness's sake.

***

It was already, I don't know, midnight, I guess. The moon was up and shining, like it was supposed to do. The night breeze was very, very calming, but cold.

Fredrick was already unconscious in his tent, which leaves me and Nathann alone here by the campfire, and mind you, this boy is drunk as hell, like... Really drunk.

"Why put sugar in coffee when you can put salt? They just look alike!" He murmured as he made a face,

"Well honey, they do look alike but that doesn't mean they taste alike."

He let out a burp and ignored my statement, how adorable.

Silence wrapped us like a burrito when he suddenly called me out, his voice was serious this time.

"Hey, Geordi?"

"Yeah?"

"I like you."

"W-What?" I stammered,

"I like you, you dummy." He said with a straight face,

"No, you don't. You're drunk. Let's get you to your tent." I told him and grabbed him, before pulling him to his tent.

He silently complied and went to sleep as soon as he got inside. I let out a sigh and stared at the moon above me.

He likes me? I was the reason he's suffering? Oh god... And here I am expecting to enjoy this day...
