GEORDI'S POV

The sound of sirens from an ambulance became louder and louder as they arrived in front of the house. The paramedics barged in and carefully transferred Nathann's body on the stretcher.

My tears kept falling as Fredrick held me close, hugging me as I sobbed on his shoulders. Just the fact that Nathann might die if the one sided love wasn't reciprocated, just breaks me... I hope whoever he fell in love with will fall for him too.

Just the sight of the hospital in front of me, terrifies me. And the fact that my best friend is inside that building, just terrifies me a lot more.

The sound of beeping inside the hospital sends shivers down my spine as we walked through the hallways with patients from all around the place.

We finally arrived at Nathann's designated room and the doctor just went outside. Running up to him, we started asking him questions about my best friend's situation.

"I'm sorry to say, but he really does have the disease. And it's getting worse and worse day by day." He answered,

"Is there any way he can be saved? Doctor please help him, please. I'm begging you!" I pleaded as my tears started to fall again,

"This is risky, but we can perform a surgery on him to remove the flowers, but... it might cause him death and if he does survive, I suspect his feelings will disappear too, and I highly doubt the patient wants that."

I hung my head low, feeling all the sadness and sufferings the world could give me on my shoulders. Fredrick wrapped his arm around my waist as he calmed me down.

We excused ourselves from the doctor and entered the room, and saw Nathann lying on bed, almost lifeless.

His body was so pale, his lips are chapped and purple, he got eye bags, his hair was a mess.

"Geordi...?"
