Chapter 1: Crossing The Line

Slade's P.O.V.

"Why did you take the moonstone? You know that it's Rapunzel's destiny to be reunited with the moonstone," Hugo asked.

"You left my little brother behind in the prison and he was all that I had left. You all expected me to move on from it but I can't. I care more about Varian then anyone else and I will do anything for him, even if it means having revenge on all of you," I said seriously.

"This has to stop now. Whatever it is that's your going through. We'll fix it together me and you. Just like we've always done," Hugo sang.

"No! This has to stop now. This thing were you think you've been my friend and don't even hear hiw you condesend. The way you've always done," I sang.

"Slade listen," Hugo sang.

"I'm listening," I sang.

"I know it isn't true," Hugo sang.

"Isn't it," I sang.

"Just look into my eyes," Hugo sang.

"Well," I sang.

"I know you feel it too," Hugo sang.

"Perhaps I do," I sang.

"Slade listen," Hugo sang.

"I'm listening," I sang.

"I swear it's not too late. So before another line get's crossed and everything we have is lost. Just wait," Hugo sang.

"Wait!? No I won't wait," I sang.

I ran out of the room but Hugo followed me. "There's a line between the winners and the losers. There's a line between the chosen and tbe rest. I've done the best I could but I've always known just were we stood. Me here with the luckless. You there with the blessed and there's a line between the baggers and the choosers. Is a line you've not let me quite ignore. How I've tried to jump that great divide but I've never got the chances you were given. You don't know how much I've been denied. Well I'm not being pacient anymore. I'm crossing the line and I'm done holding back! So look out, clear a track, it's my turn! I'm taking what's mine! Every drop, every smige! It's like burning a brige, let it burn but I'm crossing the line!" I sang.

"And for us if we're over that's fine. I'm crossing the line," I said as I walked out of the castle.

Hugo was going to follow me but I slammed the door before he could come and follow me. I sealed the door with black rocks just to make sure he wouldn't follow me. I started to head back to Corona.

Hugo's P.O.V.

I looked at the door and I started to tear up. "Why Slade? Why?" I wispered to myself.

Just then I felt someone put a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and it was Amber. She smiled at me and I glared at her and I slapped her hand. She removed her hand from my shoulder. "I'm sorry about what just happened," said Amber apologetically.

"It's fine. I'm pretty sure that he will relize that this is all a mistake and he will come back to us any minute now," I stated.

"I thought the same thing about Varian but it never happened so I pretty sure Slade is certain that he wants to do this," Amber responded.

Rapunzel walked up to me and gave me a hug. "Everything will be okay," Rapunzel wispered with a smile on her face.

I gently pushed her away and shook my head. "Not only does he have fire powers but now he has the powers of the moon and all that we have is your hair and Sophia's amulet," I said seriously.

"I know another way out of here," Edmond stated.

"Then can you tell us dad?" Eugene asked.

Edmond nodded and pointed to a door that was next to the door Slade used to leave. Adira opened the door and held it open as all of us walked out. Once we were outside we saw a hot air balloon land right outside the castle. We thought no one was in it until we saw Ulf in the hot air balloon. "Ulf how did you find us?" Rapunzel asked with a big smile on her face.

"Did someone send you?" Sophia asked.

"Why would they send someone like you specifically?" I asked.

"He's a mime so he can't talk," Eugene stated.

"I beleive I will be of some assistance because I am fluent in Ulf," said Shorty while walking towards the hot air balloon.

Shorty started talking as Ulf did some hand motions but personally I didn't pay attention to what Shorty was saying. I was more worried about Slade and what he was going to do. "Hugo," I heard a voice say.

I looked around and I couldn't find whoever called my name. "I know what you want," the voice stated.

"Who are you and what do you think I want?" I asked.

"I'm your friend and I know how badly you want to be with Slade again. All that you have do is travel back to Corona with these people and you will be able to see Slade again. Then you can join him and Varian and together the four of us will be unstopable," said the voice.

"Hugo come on let's go," James stated.

We all went into the hot air balloon, except for Adira and king Edmond.
