"Sticks and Stones"

Sticks and stones,
Can break bones,
But no one ever told me.

Words can cut,
Words can kill,
Words make the fight uphill.
But no one ever told me.

Words spray like venom,
Words tear holes,
But no one ever knew.

Words can slay me,
But above all,
Words are free.

And everyone knew.
And everyone told.
Like little storybooks unfold.
Words can kill,
Words can slay,
Words can heal.
Words make the fairytale real.
Words make the truth false and false true,
Words decide what is in you.

Words make,
Words can,
Words decide,
Words are.

Words are me,
Words are you,
They let everyone see through.
But only one thing shows true.

Actions speak louder than words.

When you fall and scrape your knees,
And someone lends you a hand,
To get you right back up,
You didn’t have to say please.

A/N: Yeah, I bet it's hard to believe I have a lot of experience being bullied. I wrote this out of frustration after a particularly long day of name-calling. So I wouldn't really call it poetry but I decided to put it in here anyways.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day!
