"Rose, do you know where I put my bra? You know, the red one with lace that I got from Victoria's Secret?" I toss underwear and bras aside as I dig through the drawer.
"No, why would I know the location of your bra?" Rosalina's head pops into my laptop screen, her long brown hair is up in a messy bun. Little hairs stick out everywhere she has a green mask on her face, she could be the modern version of a witch.
"Because we lived together in a dorm for a year, so you should know where I lose my bras," I respond and I see her roll her eyes at me through the screen.
"Please, if you can't find-"
"Oh- look- I found it!" I grab the infamous lace bra from the depths of my sock drawer which is also hiding a bottle of tequila. I throw the bra on top of my suitcase and glance around before grabbing the tequila as well and throwing it in my suitcase.
"Cora, what was that?" Rose's eyes narrow on the screen and I grin back.
"Nothing important." She doesn't look very convinced but she doesn't continue to question what trouble I'll be bringing to the woods.
"I'm so excited! I hope we get cute kids and I hope that we'll be in the same cabin," Rose peels off of her green mask and reveals her tanned glowing skin. I nod my head in agreement.
Rosalina and I are on our way to be counselors at Camp Clementine. A nine-week summer camp to have fun and earn easy money. Today we're packing our bags so we can leave early tomorrow morning and get to camp. We are arriving two days before the campers get there for training and set up. Thank god that Rose is coming with me because trouble seems to follow me wherever I go.
"Oh my god," Rose groans and throws her hands up in frustration, "I can't find my Champion sweatshirt anywhere."
I laugh lightly as I go through my swimsuits deciding on which ones to bring. I can't wait to swim in the lake, hopefully, there'll be cute guys. I decide on bringing three swimsuits and I pack them into my suitcase in a side pocket.
"Oh, there it is."
If it weren't for me Rosalina would probably leave her packing until tomorrow morning, 10 minutes before I showed up at her house. But I'm not leaving this facetime call until she's all packed and ready to go.
"I'm so tired," Rose stretches her arms and yawns," can I call you back tomorrow morning?"
"No, Rose, just finish packing now. I don't want to get out of here an hour late because you didn't finish packing tonight. We already have an 8-hour drive in front of us, not even including stops and I know we'll have to stop." I rant and Rose nods her head along in harmony with the background music.
"Okay, okay, I'll finish it right now so you don't have a heart attack. I do care for your health." She sings as she picks up her pants pile and places it into her suitcase. She sits down and rummages through another drawer.
