chase was found with his jaw to the floor as he looked at the incredibly stunning woman in front of him.
there mariah was, wearing baggy black camouflage pants with a skin-tight black long sleeve and she now topped it all of by putting on a black ski mask
it took all his energy to not run up and kiss her whispering sweet nothings in her ear.
in his mind, he knew he was getting turned on by the sight of a powerful woman, and that woman was mariah leonard
"close ya mouth, don't want the flies to come in now huh" mariah whispered in his ear before taking the mask off and giggling
chase was quick to try and cover up his face and embarrassment.
"you just uh. you look really good in the mask, I think you should buy it." chase swallowed following mariah
"only for you big boy" mariah winked as she grabbed the mask and chase pulling him to the cashier
then the sound of chase's ringtone going off signaling that he had received a message pulled him back into reality

12:47pm lukas: change of plans, the party is today, same time (5:00)! y'all better be here.
chase rubbed his eyes, letting out a hesitant breath. he had to be at the stupid party but he wasn't going to stand mariah up
chase pushed the party aside, he was going to go by he wouldn't stay long and he was not going to drink.
he wanted to be presentable for the girl of his dreams.

mariah was scrolling through her snapchat, occasionally snapping some of her friends.
her eyebrows furrowed when she noticed that she has received a message from chase.
3:30pm chase e: sorry, i can't pick you up. meet me at the ferris wheel at 6:50. sorry m.
mariah slightly frowned at the message but she still held hope as she was going to see chase.
since it was 3:33, mariah decided to get ready for she took her time getting ready.
mariah was always very indecisive when it comes to her clothes. she could never pick out one outfit.
so after an hour of finding the perfect outfit, mariah finally decided on a white sundress that perfectly fit around her curves with white strap-on sandals.
mariah wasn't a big fan of full-face makeup so she lightly placed mascara on her eyelashes with a little bit of lipgloss coating her peachy lips.
mariah then stepped into the frame of her full-length mirror, still slightly unsatisfied with her appearance, something was missing.
mariah's eyes scanned the room before landing on a flashy ring and vintage watch.
she quickly slipped on the watch and ring as she then became 100% satisfied with her final appearance.
she glanced at her phone only to see that the time was now 5:20 pm.
a thought popped into mariahs mind. she was going to go to the carnival waste some time there.
although mariah knew it was a 30-minute drive to where the carnival is located, she decided what could go wrong?
mariah hopped into her car turning the ignition bringing her car to life
as her car slightly roared, the radio turned on blasting up down by morgan wallen
mariah happily danced in her seat before rushing off to the carnival

while mariah was on her way to the carnival to wait on her date with chase, chase was drinking his mind away.
although he promised himself that he wasn't going to drink, his buddies continued to push him and now here he was pushing away his sobriety with every drink he swallowed.
his phone buzzed in his back pocket, stopping him from sipping on the drink in his hand
7:05pm mariah: hey, are you still coming?
chase felt his heart jump to his throat.
he dropped his drink before running to his truck, feeling as though his world as stopped
he left the girl of his dreams alone, he practically stood her up.
chase knew much better than this but drunk chase was clumsy and never cared about anyone or anything, that was until right now.
chase was completely out of tune with his body when he drank, he had the mentality of sober chase but his body showed drunk chase.
chase hesitated to open his truck knowing damn well he was way too drunk to even think about driving.
he pushed himself away from the truck calling in uber instead.
as soon as the uber arrived, chase hopped into the car giving his destination to the driver.
chase laid his head back not seeing or thinking straight from the alcohol fogging his mind
the closer chase got to the carnival, the more he found himself thinking about his feelings for mariah
all he could picture is how beautiful she probably looks right now.
sometimes chase would question his worth when it came to mariah, how in world did he find a female that was as gorgeous and sweet as her and was willing to stick by him.
he was just a teenager with a huge secret to keep.
the car came to a stop signaling that it was time for chase to get out, so chase did so paying the man and leaving quickly
chase stumbled over to the ferris wheel only to see her sitting there, clearly frustrated with him but just as beautiful as he imagined her.
all he could do was hope that drunk chase wouldn't do anything stupid with her.
