I grab my w-connector and place it on my wrist and close my eyes.
"Game start"
I see colorful squares appearing in front of me, disappearing. After a while of the game loading, it tells me to put in my name. A keyboard appears below the words and I type in my name.
Sapphire Green.
Next, it shows me options for my character type.
Mage, Warrior, Healer or Samurai.
I pick Mage because I've always wanted magical powers ever since I was 8.
Soon, I am transported into a brand new world with vivid colors, blooming flowers, buildings, and many people.
I am in awe. I can't believe that this is all in a virtual world. It's way better than where I live in real life, all the pollution and trash just disgust me.
I soon realize that I am supposed to look for my friends. I walk around the beautiful village searching for them until I hear familiar voices calling my name.
"Saph!"
"Sapphire!"
I turn my head around and see my friends. I run over to them and see that their characters are very similar to what they look like in real life, except for the hair.
Violet has medium length purple hair instead of long blonde hair.
Neil has short red hair instead of brown hair.
Maxell has short brown hair instead of blonde hair.
Natalie has long pink hair instead of black hair.
And finally, Lily has short blue hair instead of medium length black hair.
Is my hair different or is it the same?
"Hey Saph, I like the change of hair, turquoise really suits you!," complements Maxell.
Well, that answers that question.
"Thanks"

After a few minutes of talking to each other, we decided to go to a café that is not too far away.
The food and drinks were surprisingly good. The coffee was so rich, I could order more of them, but I didn't want to spend all my money on coffee. I needed it to buy armor, potions, weapons and other important things that I needed to survive in this world.
I take a peek outside and see that it's getting dark.
"Guys, it's getting really dark, I'm going home," I say to my little group.
"Yeah, I'm getting really tired, I'm leaving too," says Violet as she stood up.
I swipe my finger in the air vertically to access the menu. I couldn't find the 'log out' button. I turn my head towards Violet to see if she has the same problem too.
I turn my head back to my menu to see that I have a notification from my mailbox from the Game Developers.
I tap on the mailbox icon then tap on the e-mail that I've received.
I look around the café and see that everyone is reading the e-mail as well.
I start reading it.
"We would like to say sorry for not telling you this, but there have been some slight adjustments to the game 'Slay and Survive'. The 'logout' button has been removed from the game and will no longer be on the menu. The only way to get out of the game is to defeat all 125 levels to liberate everyone in the game. You are given 2 lives, use them all and you will die in real life. If someone from the real world removes the w-connector from your wrist, you will die in real life.
Sincerely,
The Slay and Survive Game Developers"
