Y/n's POV
"What do you remember?"
I tried to think, and remember anything I could from my time with the Rebels, spitting out whatever I could. "Uh, there used to be 4 main outposts, including the one I ran and the one Harold ran, but I don't know how many there are now..."
He nods along and types before motioning for me to continue.
"Uh, um, well I was his go-to hit man, so if he wanted someone..." I paused, glancing at my son, who now sat in ohms lap, listening intently. "If he wanted someone gone, he could count on me for the job. Uh, lets see... He was very controlling, which could lead to violent approaches if things didn't go his way... he would hurt me and other Rebels."
"Who were the other outpost leaders?" I paused, not even realizing that I had glazed over them. "Eastern outpost was run by Patrick Gulmond and Southern belonged to Savannah Habsburg."
"And where are they now?"
I thought about it, knowing they were obviously two of the closest people to me when I was in the rebellion.
"I haven't spoken to Patrick in years but I believe he's still under Harold. He didn't have as much of a choice as I did, his whole family is apart of the rebellion. And Savannah... um, Savannah's gone... she was apart of the pack..." I trailed, the memory of her death flashing in my mind.
I remembered his words as he slit her throat in front of me.
'Once a Rebel, always a Rebel.'
The words rang out in my head and I mumbled them.
"What was that?" Mini asked, pausing his typing.
"Once a Rebel, always a Rebel. Harold use to say it all the time... I imagine he still does."
Mini nods, typing again before snapping as if he realized something. "You said Patrick didn't have a choice like you did because of his family... and I know you probably don't want to think about it, but where's your family Y/n?"
I froze, not expecting the question. Jon squeezes my thigh, noticing my stiff posture. I sit up, taking a breath as I glance at mini.
'Ok, I can do this.'
"My parents were in a different gang... I don't even know if they're still around... it was called The Keepers."
"The Keepers? They were notorious for their criminality... they used to be unstoppable and were number 1 until..." Squirrel adds, trailing off.
"Until we offed them and took their spot." Evan says, finishing Squirrels sentence. Mini completely disregards them and looks back at me. "Continue."
"They were keepers and had me in the life. I was always loyal to them and did whatever they asked but growing up with gang member parents isn't exactly, bonding. They were neglectful and thought of me more as an object, a weapon, distraction, rather than their daughter. So I rebelled-"
"By joining the rebellion behind their backs." Mini says, cutting me off.
I look down, nodding, slightly ashamed that I had betrayed my own flesh and blood.
"When they found out, they were furious. They disowned me, shunning me and acting as if I never existed." I explained, tears streaming down my face from the hurt that I had felt, so, so long ago.
"I knew what I did was wrong, but I was sick of their behavior towards me. I've never felt a parents love before, or at least, not how a parent should love their child. Harold picked me up and dusted me off, training me into becoming one of the best, but his tyranny was not much different from the restraints of my parents. I tried defying him once, denying a task. His punishment was severe. He captured my parents and tortured them in front of me. They weren't the best, not even close, they didn't even love me, but they were still my parents and a part of me still loved them. Even after everything. Then he made me finish them. To prove my loyalty. He said it was me, or them."
