Y/n's POV

"Y/n, no." Vanoss said sternly, turning away from me and grabbing the keys to a mission van.

"Vanoss, please, I need to bring them back safely, I need too! And then I have to find Delirious, I just have too!"

"We've been over this already, I'll take care of the twins and the guys, and you focus on getting any information you can on Delirious. Do whatever you can."

"But Evan-"

"Look, you didn't just lose your boyfriend, ok? I lost my best friend, so just listen? Please?"

I shrunk down into my chair, giving a sheepish nod. He sighs before crouching down and putting a hand on my shoulder. "Hey.."

I look at him, slightly guilty.

"Do you trust me?" He asks, tilting his head slightly.

My eyebrows furrow in confusion. "What? Yeah, Evan, of course I trust you!"

He gave a small nod and moved his hand to my cheek. "Then let me get your girls back for you."

I felt a small smile tug at my lips as I nodded and tackled him in a hug. "Thanks Ev."

He gently hugs me back and ruffles my hair. "Don't thank me yet..."

I pull away from him, looking at him in confusion. "What do you mean?"

He sighs and avoids eye contact. "Y/n, we had rules."

I give a slight scoff. "You can't be serious right now..."

"You know I can't just let it fly under the radar."

"You have got to be kidding me."

"Y/n-"

"No! No, I really can't believe you're lecturing me about this right now! He's missing! For all we know, he's dead!"

"Ok-" He reaches for me but I turn harshly, feeling the anger festering in me. "No. We'll talk about this if- when we get him back. And that's final."

He stays silent and I march off angrily.

I feel eyes watching me as I walk out of the kitchen and towards the stairs. I avoid all interaction and quickly rush to Del's room, slamming the door shut behind me.

I sat on the bed, feeling the warmth rise to my face as tears gathered in my eyes. I let out a deep breath and let them fall, finding no reason to hold them back.

I got up and slowly walked towards the nightstand where a certain hockey mask lay.

I picked it up, holding it tenderly in my fingers. I felt a frown on my face, making my lip quiver. More tears spilled from my eyes, falling onto the mask.

I lifted it it too my face, placing a gentle kiss on the forehead of the mask before hugging it tightly to my chest, dropping onto the bed and letting out hushed sobs.

I curled up, pulling the covers over me, still holding onto the mask like a lifeline, and continued to silently suffer.

It was only around 4 in the afternoon, but I cried myself to an exhausted slumber.

I heard the door to my room slowly open. I lifted my head slightly, still feeling like absolute shit. I glanced at the digital clock on the night stand.

'Who the fuck is coming in here at midnight?"

Multiple sets of footsteps walked in the room as I reached over and flicked on the lamp light.
