You say I'm grumpy
Maybe just a little
You say something's wrong
Maybe some things
You say I'm acting weird
I say my emotions won't stay bottled right now
You all believe me to be passive
To not mind
To be alright inside
But you also say you wouldn't know
If ever something was wrong
So how can you assume I'm alright
I've spent all my life
Learning how to control my emotions
Shield them from others
But not lie
You never ask me point blank
If something bothers me
If I'm angry at someone
Or if I've been feeling sad because of some reason
General questions
They're too easy to manoeuvre around
Yet if you really asked
If you showed more than a general interest
I wouldn't be able to hide from you
If you asked
Not just when someone mentioned I might feel a certain way
Then maybe
I wouldn't have so much
