After my long hard thought about being buried in the district 5 cemetery, Carisse came and collected me and Monroe and took us to the loading pit, where we would aboard the train and make our way to the Capitol.

As we stepped foot outside, i noticed mum talking to her friends, and smoking with them, while Tarsha stood at me holding her hands together like she was praying. I looked straight into her eyes from a distanced and nodded, hoping she got what i was trying to say which was ' its OK'. But i mean she must of because she nodded back, and before i knew it i was on the train.

As we were walking through the hallway to the dining cart, Carisse shoved us over to the seats and sat us down and started to talk (oh god).

" Well your mentor should be here soon" she said with a big smile, but i hardly noticed it with her distracting clothes. Then all of a sudden my ears reacted to a sound behind. It was all good though, because it was our mentor (i think).

"Ahh, welcome" Carisse said while standing up and greeting our mentor.

" Yes, well um, let me have a look at this years tributes" he said and sat down opposite to me.

"So, my name is Hame, and i will be your mentor for the past 4 days. But first i would like to know a bit about yourselves. So um, you first" He said pointing at Monroe.

"Well my family is pretty wealthy since, well, I'm not the one to brag, but we're are the ones running the town, being the whole mayor people and stuff." He said in an elegant tone.

"Well, i didn't ask for all that, just want to know your age name and skill. You know just to see what i am working with" He said giving Monroe a cocky look. You could already tell these two weren't going to get along.

" Well if you insist, I'm seventeen, name is Monroe and, well i don't really have a good skill, just my looks" he said with a grin. I just gave him a look, i really cocky look. I could tell Hame didn't like him, and even i didn't like him, you could tell already that he was going to be the "Love to all girls" sort of guy.

"Well" Hame said fast trying to move on quickly. "And you?"

I quickly moved my head towards him.

"Yes, what about me?" I asked

He shared a laugh for a second.

"The questions dear" he said. I felt so embarrassed already not knowing what he was talking about.

" Oh, um, my name is My.." But before i finished i remembered that i took Tarsha's identity at the reaping, so i have to be smart about this.

"Ehem, my name is Tarsha, I'm 18, and i'm not quite sure what I'm good at, never been around many weapons" I explained, then Hame nodded and we sat there in silence.

It had been about 2 hours, and in that time we had thirty minutes of awkward silence, then the rest of that hour and a half i just starred out of the window before we arrived in the Capitol. I didn't notice all the plain buildings or the colourful people, just starred thinking how pathetic they are to just cheer about our deaths, but i quickly forgot about that as i was rushed away from the window to be reunited with Monroe, then quickly rushed out of the door to be 'greeted' with the Capitol citizens.

"Smile now kids, otherwise your going to be a bad reputation" Carisse said gritting her teeth while talking. I couldn't hesitate not to wave, so i did, and i think i did a good job, i mean i must of the crowd was pointing to me screaming and cheering. Then i couldn't help myself but to let out a smile, then i smiled even harder, until all my teeth were showing.

Why was i smiling for these people? I felt bad but felt good, so i went on, and on until i made it to our tower that we would be staying in for the next couple of days. When we got to the entrance we walked in side and signed in. The doorman ,or receptionist, gave us a mean dirty look, so i quickly just tilted my head to the ground and made no eye contact.
