I jump out of bed and start walking around the room talking to myself over the vacuuming, then i turn to the Avox and start talking to her.
"it was him all a long!" I keep telling her, then my door opens to find Carisse looking straight at me with her sharp eyes, so i halt while looking straight at her.
" Don't ever talk to them! Ever! OK?" Carisses said with a look i had never seen off her before, but i nodded anyway.
"OK, so today you have your private session with the Gamemakers, but before that, you and Hame will be heading-" Then i just cut her off.
"I'd rather discuss this with Hame, since he is the one giving me the lesson." Then i walked off eyeballing Carisse with a dull look. When i made it to the dinning table, all dressed in my uniform, i got straight to Hame, and started asking him all about the training he was going to give me later. Hame didn't really answer, he just nodded and shook his head. Thanks for the interest, i thought to myself, then the bell went off, announcing all of us tributes to make our way to the training centre, but Claudius Templsworth said different today.
"Attention, tributes, attention. Today you will be having your private lesson with your Mentors and The Gamemakers, so training today has been revoked, and your schedule will be coming up later. That is all." So now all i have to wait for is the 'Mail' man to come and deliver the note, and that didn't take long, because as soon as Clauduis stopped speaking, our note arrived straight away. None of us got up to get it, but after a while Hame stood up and retrieved it off the couch.
" Ok Monroe your first, then Tarsha your seventh." Hame explained. i didnt really care what time i got , i mean we were all going to have our shot at one point.
"I don't think i need to go" Monroe started "I'm just going to walk in, dazzle them with my looks, and walk straight out" Monroe finished. Gosh he makes me sick, so i just decided to take his place and go with Hame to the training centre, since Monroe isn't going first anymore.
When we arrived at the centre, Hame turned to me and asked me what i wanted to work on. I didn't really know how to answer, i mean if i say weapons then he would know I'm up to something, learning how to throw around an axe or something instantly. So i just go with the basic one i could think of that i read in the book.
"Dodging" I say with a little smile. So hame goes into the Centre and starts to set up.
About fifteen minutes later he comes out and brings me into the centre with him, i notice these different sized platforms and some training instructors with foam sticks. I keep telling myself to not let that thing out, you know the one were my mind goes all ninja on any weapon or obstacle i see.
Hame calls over the training instructors to the platforms, and tells me to start straight away. As I'm walking towards the starting platform, i keep telling myself not to worry, that i will get through this, just act like you were on the first day, but i gave up on that as i knew that as soon as one of those instructors came at me with that stick, i would go all black out on them, but on the good side i came up with some names with that thing that happens to me when i touch a weapon and when i get attacked, Black out, and for that paralysing thing i called it, The shot gun. Who am i kidding? That is making me feel better, but i have to face it, that Hame will see my skill and realise Ive been up to something, and most probably will be upset that i didn't let Monroe join the alliance, but how could i let Monroe join? Firstly, I'm the only "The Private Career", and secondly, Hes to all about himself sort of guy.
"Hurry up Tarsha its time to start" Hame says eagerly, but i don't hesitate, i have to face it sooner or later, so i start, and then of course my mind goes black out, and then when everything becomes clear again, i see that I'm at the end of the platform runway, and that the instructors sticks are all the way over the other side of the centre.
"Are you OK Tarsha?" Hame says in a suspicious manner. I don't know how to answer to this, i cant give Hame the real answer, especially in front of the Gamemakers, so i just say the most obvious thing that any tribute would say.
"Just missing my sister, i cant live without her" I say loud enough, hoping that the Gamemakers got the message.
"Alright, back to it" He said, but i wish he didn't, i don't even want to know what i might do to the instructors next. But i cant stall, that might make Hame even more suspicious so, as a daring attempt, i take off, then black out comes along again, and once again i end up at the end, but this time i think i did the shot gun, as both of the instructors seem to be paralysed on the floor.
" I think we should rap it for today" Hame says, while calling over some of the nurse's. So i just jump down from the platform i was previously on, and chuck a towel around my neck, then speed walk off hoping Hame wont catch me, but just my luck, he does.
" How did you do this?" As Hame said it, he didn't look very happy, so i just gave him my best a quirky comeback to this.
"Its called training Hame" I say and walk off.
When i get back to the apartment, Carisse seems to be the only one to welcome me back.
" Ah, your back, how was it" Carisse says clapping her hands together.
"Like any other training day i guess" I reply, then look at Monroe, who is doing his daily 'Face check' in the mirror.
"Go get a room Monroe" I say with a disgusted look.
"Me and Monroe are not up to that stage yet" He replies. I just give him my puke face and walk to my room, and before i close my door, i hear Carisse spill out something like, stay in your uniform. Not sure why, probably the show off tonight.
It been about an hour, and Hame arrived back about fifteen minutes ago and is ordering us to make our way down to the Training Centre, so we do as he says, but then Monroe starts losing his cool, because he 'forgot' that the session with Hame was actually training.
"Maybe you should listen next time" I snap at him.
"Well if i knew it was for this, then i would of gone" He replies in a childish voice, so i just roll my eyes, and decide to go in the elevator first, then Monroe follows. The whole trip down, to the Training Centre, between Monroe and I was completely awkward, and silent, even up to when we were sitting in line waiting for our turn, but when he left for his turn i felt a bit relieved, he also did stink alot. Then before you know it he walked out. That was like literally five seconds, i thought, but i had no time for this now, the monitor called my name, so i stood up and walked towards the door, but before i walked in, i just remembered, i haven't even decided what i was going to do yet. I cant do the dodging thing, its to armature for Careers. As i was thinking, one of the Gamemakers voice shouted out to me.
"Are you ready dear?" one of them called out, so i replied with the most pathetic excuse.
"Uh, yeah, my shoes stuck" I said a bit queasy. Then i heard all of the Gamemakers laughing in their ridiculous Capitol accent. Although i had nothing, i still walked in and stood right in front of them, and then it clicked, i wasn't so sure if i should do it, but I'm now a Career, i have to take risks, and this one is a big one, i don't know who i would hurt, but i asked them to focus on the weapon area with the dummies, as i was about to use, Black out and Shot gun.
