I blinked once. I blinked again and remembered we had moved houses. I felt awfully on edge because I was still unfamiliar with my surroundings, it didn't help when I woke up surrounded by darkness.

I got up and stretched, cracking my spine as I did so. I felt weirdly heavy and sluggish as I walked towards the curtains. I certainly had not expected the bright light that welcomed me once I opened the curtains. I suddenly felt like a vampire, burning in the sun. Swiftly closing the curtains once more I walked over to my phone to see what time it was.

I spotted my old camera as I was doing that and made a mental note to remember to buy a new one. Konoha had a beautiful park with a lake. I was eager to take pictures of the local koi fish and-

I face planted on the floor with a loud 'thud' that might as well have shaken the house. I heard several footsteps that sounded like running and before I knew it there was a worried looking Jiraiya at the door staring down at me.

I tried to play it off as a difficult yoga pose but Jiraiya had already doubled over in laughter explaining how he thought the roof had collapsed in or something along those lines.

Deciding I would rather not kiss the floor again, I started to move all the boxes and unpack.

It was around 6pm when I had finished everything. My whole body was sore and I felt like I would pass out from exhaustion sometime soon. After I flopped on my bed, mentally celebrating my achievement, I realised I was all hot and sweaty not to mention I had forgotten to buy a new camera.

I made my way to the bathroom to freshen up before I headed out. Since I was quite new to the area I wore my black hoodie, sweatpants with sneakers and I also decided to wear a hat and mask just in case I met anyone I knew. I was used to the isolation; the physical abuse however was another case. I stopped the thought abruptly, remembering how I would be walking on eggshells If I had another flashback now.

Making my way downstairs, I said my goodbyes to Jiraiya who was still unpacking for the most part, and headed out. I set the directions to the mall on my phone and left while keeping my head down.
