After my encounter with Shikamaru, I felt rightly elated the rest of the day. He'd shown me around the school and stuck to me the entire day as we caught up on each other's lives. Whereas Shikamaru had to go to his father's company after school, I was left hyper with my head in the clouds and nothing to do.
My mind drifted back to Void eyes and the festival, more specifically how I hadn't gotten a chance to properly explore Kohona Mall. Just like that my afternoon plans were made as I went home to change and grab my camera.

Amidst all my rushing and daydreaming, I'd forgotten to put on a mask which meant hell if I ran into anyone that knew me. I grimaced at the thought but it still wasn't enough to get my mood low. I shrugged off the thought and smiled like an idiot as I made my way towards the pond. While I saw some of my schoolmates, they didn't seem to notice me which was a huge relief.
I sat down at a bench close to the pond, taking in my environment. The cold October breeze was harsh against my nose, leaves were beginning to wither away; the pond glistened as it reflected the warm sunlight. After taking a deep breath I began to scope the area once more for memories I'd love to capture.
I looked through the lens of my camera, zooming in and out at random hoping something caught my eye. It probably wasn't the most effective way to look for something to capture but it felt nostalgic to me. I grew so used to doing the same thing every time I got hold of a camera when I was younger, what can I say old habits die hard.
I stopped and my breath hitched. Black hair tainted blue, obsidian eyes, a strong jawline, lips pulled into a thin line, and eyebrows furrowed to show a frown, crimson dancing around the tip of their nose and cheeks, showing a faint blush. It was stunning, to say the least. The man might as well have been a model.
Naruto didn't have time to further add to the thoughts as he felt a cold liquid drop on his head successfully sending shivers down his spine. He looked up at the sky, the grey clouds only now breaking him from the entrancing moment. As he looked back at the spot the mystery man had been there was no one to be seen in sight.
Ignoring the irrational part of his brain that told him he may have been hallucinating, Naruto made his way back home drenching in the heavy rain pour. He thought back to the man as he came to the conclusion that he may have been the most handsome man on earth. Mentally facepalming at his "exaggeration", he dumbly smiled to himself once more making his way into the villa. He may have been drenched from head to toe, clothes uncomfortably sticking to his body but he giggled as he felt heat rushing to his face.
"Maybe Konoha isn't that bad"
The clueless blonde still hadn't realized how much pain would come with his newfound feelings.
