Wrong Summer Camp

Chapter 4

Realization and meeting new friends 💖

"No,  a bit more sleep please, " I said when someone began to shake me.  I heard giggling and that's when I came to my senses and remembered that I was on my way to my Summer Camp.

I jumped up and sat upright and rubbed my eyes. "That's faster than I expected, "Gracie said sitting on the next seat. I giggled a bit and said, " Sorry,  I thought it was my mum.  You shook me just like her." My mood changed when I mentioned my mum and Gracie noticed my sudden change of emotion and said, "Hey,  don't think about that.  Now get your body off that chair and get a view of 'Sporty Camp', Gracie said and squealed. 

I gave her a smile before her words got into my mind.  "WHAT!!! "I screamed making her jump a bit.  "What,  What is wrong? Did you see something, "Gracie said looking around.

I was gasping then said, "Um....... You said we are in Sporty Camp.."
"Yeah,  what is wrong with that? " Gracie said even confused than I was. 

'You gotta be kidding.  I'm in Science and Music Summer Camp.  She's just jesting.'

"You mean Science and Music Summer Camp, right? " I asked with my heart beating fast in my chest hopping that she was just joking. "No,  I'm serious.  We are in Sporty Summer Camp, " she said and gasped.  "Are you in the wrong Camp, " Gracie said with a concerned face.

'OMG,  WRONG CAMP!!! I'M DEAD! ' I shouted in my head.  I nodded because I had lost all my energy. She got hold of my hand and ran out of the bus.  She took us to someone who I think was supposed to be the one in charge.

When we got to her.  She cleared her voice loud and clear to signal the person that we were there.  "Yes.  What would you like me to do, " the lady said and smiled.  Gracie nudged me forward and I cleared my voice.

"Um..... Sorry to disturb but,.....I'm in the wrong Summer Camp. "I said shyly.  "Oh,  I see,"she said then dismissed another person she was talking to," Well,  we currently don't have any means of transport.  So you will stay here for a month.  You may leave by your wish if you didn't enjoy your time here.  But you can stay if you enjoy your time, "she said before she left to speak with another person.

My heart sunk and l felt terrible.  I was to study for my own good and get a new school.....
" Blaire, Blaire....," Gracie said then I snapped out of my thoughts. "Sorry about the whole mix up. Since you are staying here for a month, I'll better help you find your way around this place and bring you to my friends.

I gave here a slight smile and she took my hand and led me to take my bags. We took our bags and she took me to the girls cabin. Well,  since I was a newbie there, I just followed her all the way there.  When we got in one of the cabins,  I saw three girls. 

When they saw Gracie,  they all came to her screaming and hugged each other. Gracie hugged them back.  They then realized I was there.  'Not there bad.  I'm never noticed around' I said to myself and sighed.  Gracie turned to face me and said, "Oh,  girls.  Meet Blaire.  She will be staying with us for a month or the whole summer." All I did was smile and wave back.

Then all of a sudden they all came and hugged me and said, "Welcome to the squad." There was this spark I had that I've never felt for a long time.  Having someone to be with me like that other than my annoying brothers and my parents.  I liked the feeling. 

When they finally let go of me,  Gracie said, "This is Stella,  Kira and Liana, " she said as all of them waved and smiled. "Blaire is kinda in the wrong Camp so we have to stick with her all the time," Gracie said.  "Sure, we all stick together.  Like birds of a feather, " Liana said and we all giggled.

'OK,  I'm gonna enjoy this time here.' "OK,  we are having a short assembly in an hour,  so we better do most of the unpacking during this time,"Kira said and we all started to unpack.  We were all done when a bell rang. 

"Time to go girls, "Stella said and we went hand in hand to the assembly hall.
