「ɴᴏsᴛᴀʟɢɪᴀ」

Jungkook's P.O.V

    "What would you do if you like someone that... you're not supposed to like? You know, someone you shouldn't think of that way... but you just... do."

    Jungkook does a doubletake and stares at Hoseok's profile with wide eyes as they walk slowly towards his car.

    Is he being serious? Does he know? Did he see us?

    He quickly averts his eyes from Hoseok before the latter can detect his surprised expression and clears his throat before speaking.

    "Uh, why... why do you ask?" Jungkook tries his best to sound casual, but his voice wavers slightly.

    Jungkook highkey wants Hoseok to find out by now, even though he's scared of what his reaction may be. He doesn't think he'll be able to watch Jimin try to get over him with Jongin, and wants Hoseok to know before he does something stupid.

    They get into the car in silence. Jungkook starts the engine with shaky hands, not daring to look at Hoseok.

    "I... It doesn't matter, just hypothetically." Hoseok murmurs.

    Jungkook lets out a mental sigh in relief, even though he knows Hoseok is lying. He wouldn't lie if he knew what's going on between Jimin and Jungkook, he would confront him directly. This is about Hoseok.

    Jungkook knows that there is indeed a specific reason why Hoseok asked, he just doesn't know who he is talking about yet. He won't press it right now though.

    "Okay... well, I guess I would perceive what the other is feeling and figure it out from there." Jungkook says, thinking of Jimin.

    "Yeah... Do you think someone can like more than one person at the same time? Hypothetically..." Hoseok then asks and now Jungkook is beyond curious.

    "I think that's possible, yes. Are you sure that all this is just 'metaphorically'?" Jungkook asks with a small smirk playing on his lips.

    "No." Hoseok replies shortly and honestly, "But I don't really wanna talk about it." he then declares and Jungkook glances over at him before looking back to the road.

    "Whatever you want." He says and Hoseok hums before changing the subject.

    When they reach Hoseok's house, they both hop out, having planned to hang out.

    As they walk down the pathway to the manison, Jungkook feels nostalgic.

    "I wanna play football." He blurts.

    Hoseok turns to him with a raised eyebrow.

    "We play football every day." He states.

    "Yeah, but I wanna play without having to think about being good, or winning something. Just for fun, you know..." Jungkook explains and Hoseok beams.

    "That sounds amazing. Let's do it." He cheers and the two head out to Hoseok's backyard.

    Time flies and soon the sun is setting. Loud laughter echoes over the rooftops as Hoseok trips for the fourth time. The two friends lets go of responsabilities for a few hours and it feels incredible. 

    "It's getting late... I'm hungry." Hoseok declares as the sky turns a deep shade of oranges and pinks. 

    Jungkook agrees and they go inside only to find Jimin in the kitchen, munching on a toast. He sees the smaller flinch as they appear.
