Arabella Smith
Today's the first day of my Sophomore year. "First day," I whisper to myself as I enter the building. The corridor was filled with students. Some were the faces I have seen last year but I must say, there are many faces that I have never seen before.
As I was pushing myself into the crowd in order to reach my locker, I saw couples making out as if there is no tomorrow, girls chit-chatting, jocks high-fiving and bro-fisting and a lot more people socialize with their friends.
I finally reached my locker and put my things that I don't need until lunch break inside and close it. My first subject was homeroom obviously. I still have five minutes before the bell rings, but I decided to immediately go to my class and find a good seat.
I entered the room and saw that a few students have already arrived and took a seat. I saw that my favorite spot to sit was still vacant, so I went into the left-most part of the room beside the window and sat. Took long enough for the bell to rang and then I saw students coming in and taking their seats.
Mr. Ricardo arrived and set his things on the table. No, he's not a strict teacher. In fact, he is nice but if you push his buttons then he'll be satan in a polo.
"Settle down everyone!" Mr. Ricardo raised his voice trying to get the students' attention. The buzzing sound of everyone soon faded out and it was complete silence.
"I am Mr. Ricardo..." He introduced himself to everyone as usual but I didn't listen anymore. Anything about homeroom was just a blur actually.

"I'll see you tomorrow! This is just the first day of your school year! Be good!"
Those were Mr. Ricardo's words before I left the room and headed straight to English class. I took my favorite spot to sit and prepared my notebook and pen. Ms. Olivia is the kind of teacher with the teenage hype. Not that she date minors, it's just that she totally understands us.
"Alright, since you know who I am already, it's time for you guys to introduce yourself. Let's start from you."
Before I even knew it, Ms. Olivia was pointing at me. I do not have anxiety but I get really shy and uncomfortable around people. Right now? My heart is pounding like crazy. I stood up and went in front, studying the people inside the class I'm in.
They are actually paying attention and I feel like passing out any minute and before that shit happens I introduced my self. "H-hi. I'm A-Arabella Smith."
I glanced at Ms. Olivia and she told me to tell everyone what my favorite book was, as I looked back at my classmates this blue-eyed dude caught my eye. Before I start to stammer I told them, "I love every book that John Grimsham has written," and took a seat.
When it was that blue-eyed dude's turn, I was actually paying attention.
"Hi, I'm Luke Hemmings."
Oh? Aussie boy. I figured. His accent is kinda sexy actually.
"Bella, you're a fucking flirt!" My subconscious yelled at me. I looked straight into Luke's eyes and he smiled at me.
Oh, he's a flirt too?
I didn't realize that we sit beside each other until he finished introducing himself and started making his way towards his seat. He noticed me looking at him intently. I could have sworn his blue eyes glittered.
Then before he sat down, he offered a hand and smiled at me. "I'm Luke."
