《14》A Miracle...?

|Sakura's Pov|

"Tch. I'm really opposed to this but that song is the only way to get in, so... You may come in"

He opened the gate to the village and we came inside. I sighed in relief that the song worked then I looked at everyone they have the look of surprised except for Yun, he already knew that I can sing.

"Beauty Saku, you never told me you were good at singing"

Jea-ha whispered and I shrugged off then cross my arms.

"You never asked me"

I whispered back as walking in the village I could feel people's stares on me. It's been a while since I've been here then I got pushed to the ground by a villager while holding a pitch fork and aiming at me.

"You devil! You're not supposed to be here, who let you in!!?"

"I suggest you drop the pitchfork ma'am"

The villager turned around to see Hak glaring at her. In a quick second, she fawning over him and I rolled my eyes while crossing my arms.

"General Hak! It's a pleasure to meet you, you're quite handsome in person"

I raised my eyebrow while trying not to laugh at her statement but it seems she caught me trying to laugh.

"Who are you laughing at, Devil?!!"

"I'm not laughing, what are you talking about?"

"Hmph, whatever. Just get out of the village soon as possible, nobody wants to see you."

"I'll be glad to leave but this my village that my parents once ruled. I want to see by myself what's been going on"

I started walking a bit, the hunts and building here are destroyed, burned. 'What happened?' I grew worried, last time I received an update from my friend he said that everything is okay. Now, I'm seeing this in my own eyes, I feel more disappointed in myself for not caring about the village.

Everything that happened so long ago, it had their effect. An old villager came up to me and said.

"Lady Sakura! You're back!"

I looked at her weird then I recognized her and I gave a smile.

"Mrs. Lo, how are you?"

"I've been wonderful, sweetie! Oh, my look at you. You've grown up!"

"Grown-up is not a proper word for me to say"

I heard Hak mumbled and I elbowed him on his side then smiled at Mrs. Lo

"Sorry about my comrade over here. May I ask you something, Mrs. Lo?"

"It's okay and of course"

"What happened to the village?"

"Oh... After they exiled you from the village everything became chaotic, people started killing each other for survival. When we heard that King Il died, we knew we didn't have a chance for survival."

"Who became the leader of this village?"

"Your grandfather. He went full leader mode for years since he is a vampire he's immortal meaning he'll never die. So, me and my family went to hiding, we only come out when we are missing reserves."

"I'm s-so sorry"

"Sweetie... Why are you apologizing for? When you haven't done anything wrong"

"E-exactly Mrs. Lo, I haven't done anything to help the village"

"Saku-chan, this isn't your fault. It's theirs for not realizing the outcome of their decision."

Hak put his hand on my shoulder, reassuring me that wasn't my fault. I nodded while wiping away my tears and took a deep breath.

"The young lad is right, sweetie. This is not your fault, however, we are at the fault. And I've been wondering."

"Yes?"

"Which one of these young boys is your boyfriend?"

My face literally turned into a tomato and looked away, embarrassed.

|Hak's Pov|

When I heard the old lady say that to Saku-chan, she blushed immensely and I lightly blushed while looking away.

"Mrs. Lo!! W-why are you saying those things?"

"Well, you never talk about your love life, so I've been wondering only. Ooh...! Is it that young man over there with green hair"

She pointed at droopy eyes and chuckled. 'Geez, woman. Pick someone that is at her age'  I looked over at Sakura, she was blushing like a tomato.

"I want to bury myself in a hole"

She mumbled to herself but I heard it and chuckled a bit. She turned into a chibi and went to a corner while Yona is comforting her.

"Well.. I feel flattered about ma'am don't we"

Droopy eyes grabbed Sakura by the waist and pulled her closer to him. I rolled my eyes and look to see what great idea he has.

"Look cute together?"

Sakura sighed and pushed droopy eyes off then she looked at the old lady.

"Mrs. Lo none of these people are my boyfriends, they're my friends."

I felt a bang in my heart 'Just friends, huh?'

Time Skip~

|Sakura's Pov|

Mrs. Lo told us everything start to finish on what happened to the village, at some point, I started crying because of the guilt of not being there not to help the village. The guys and Yona reassured me that it wasn't my fault, I just nodded.

"Thank You, Mrs. Lo, please take care now. We have to leave before the leader finds me here, and starts hurting you. I don't want that."

"Okay, sweetie. But be careful on your way back and make sure to visit me sometime soon as well telling me who's the boyfriend"

I lightly blushed when I heard Mrs. Lo say that and I shyly nodded as I started walking outside of the village. Hak came closer to me and whispered in my ear.

"I hope I'll be your boyfriend soon."

"Oi! Stop flirting with Kura-chan! You wildebeest!"

"It's Thunder Beast"

I saw in the corner of my eye, I saw Jea-ha walked closer to me but someone's glaive got in the way from doing so.

"Don't even think of it, Droopy Eyes"

"I wasn't even doing anything to her, Hak"

"Don't care, all I know that you're a pervert and you're not allowed to get close to the Princess and Sakura"

"Are you mistaken?"

"Droopy Eyes"

"Do I even have a say into this?"

"No"
