The Accident

Once I got home I went straight inside not caring that I left my car open and  on. Once I walked in I knew something was wrong. First off the front door was open. So when I walked in I got my gun ready. Yes I have a gun and it's only for protection. Anyways I walked into the living room to see Jake covered in bruises and unconscious. I ran to him and picked him up and put him on the couch. I started smacking him trying to get him to wake up. 

" Come on Jake. Wake up.  I need you please wake up." I checked his pulse and noticed that it was slowing down. I picked him up and took him to my car. Once I put him in the back seat, I rushed to the drivers side and started my way to the hospital. Once we arrived at the Hospital  went to the back seat and carried him inside.

" Please someone help me. His pulse is slowing down." Once I yelled that 2 nurses and a doctor came by and took him from me. I tried going with him but a nurse stopped me.

" Honey you can't go back there. We will do all we can to help him. Okay? Stay here. Are you family?" She asked me. I nodded.

" I'm his sister." She nodded and told me to go and call our parents. I called them once I got to the waiting area.

" Hello" My uncle picked up.

" Hey you need to come to the hospital right now. I found a note on my car as we were leaving HQ and went I got home I found Jake covered in bruises and he was unconcsious.Please just come." I told him all in one breath. 

' Okay. We will be there soon. Hold tight okay. See you soon." I hung up and called Derek and Cindy. Once I told them what happened they said that they were on their way. I sat down in a chair that was really uncomfortable. I closed my eyes and waited for my aunt and uncle and friends.

I woke up to someone shaking me. I opened my eyes and saw that it was my uncle and aunt. My aunt was crying silently while my uncle just kind of stared at me with pity. 

" What happened to my baby?" My aunt asked.

" I got home and I knew something was wrong. The front door was open so I walked in. I saw him in the living room on the floor unconscious and covred in bruises. I picked him up and tried to get him to wake up but when I checked his pulse it was really slow and I took him to my car and drove him here. I dont know where he is right now." By the end of me explaining what happened I was crying so hard. I heard footsteps running towards me and saw Cindy and Derek. I ran up to Derek and hugged him. He hugged me back and held me as I cried. Telling me soothing things in my ear as I cried.

When the nurse came out and called Jake's name, we al stod up and ran to her my aunt and uncle were right behind me as I was the first one to her.

" Please tell me he is okay. Please tell me my big brother is okay." I begged the nurse.

" He is stable but he has two broken ribs. We had to have an emergency surgery because one of his ribs punctured his lung. But he is okay now and you guys can go and visit him." She left us smiling at the good news. She told us the room number that he was in and we all ran to where he was. When I walked into the room, I started to cry. Jake looked so vulnerable. He was super pale and had needles going into his arm. I walked until I was right next to him. My aunt had to go into the hall because she was having to much trouble just looking at her son.

" Please be okay." I took his hand and sat down in a chair that was right next to his bed.

" Why wouldn't  be okay?" He asked while opening his eyes.

" Jake your awake. Oh thank god. I thought I was going to lose you." I hugged him. I got up and told his paents that he was awake. I walked into the hall so they could have a little family moment.

" Is he okay? I heard he was awake." Cindy asked me. I nodded and hugged her. I looked and couldn't find Derek.

" Where is Derek? I thought he was with you?" Cindy looked at me and smiled. 

" He was but then he thought that you would be hungry so he went togo and get ou some food from the cafeteria." I nodded and went to go and look for him. When I found him he was just walking away with some food.

" Hey, I was wondering where you went. I couldn't find you in the waiting room." He smiled at me and handed me my food.

" I figured you might be hungry. So I went to get some. Come on let's find a table so we can eat." We walked around and found a table. When we started eating, we didn't talk at all.

" So wanna pl-" I was interrupted when a brunette bimbo came to our table.

" Oh my gosh hey babe." She told Derek. Then she grabbed him and kissed him right in front of me. 

" Um excuse me? Who are you?" I asked her once she stopped sucking Derek's face.

" Oh. Hi, I'm Derek's girlfriend Melanie. Isn't that right babe? So can you like leave. So I can spend time with my boyfriend. Thanks." She pushed me out of my chair and took my seat. She then started to eat my food.

" Yea sure I leave you and your boyfriend."  I started to walk away but then I felt Derek grab my arm.

" Wait Courtney she isn't my girlfriend. I don't even know that chick. Please believe me. I don't know her." He told me. I yanked my arm from his strong grasp.

" I doesnt matter anyways. It's not like we are dating right. So you can date whoever you want. I going back to Jake. Just leave me alone." With that I walked away. Leaving a sad Derek beind me. As I started to cry on what  I just did.
