Luke's P.O.V

I just got home from the movie theater with the boys. We went to see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie in 3-D. It was good. I wanted to see the Penguins of Madagascar movie but the boys said no and Mikey was just making fun of me (nothing new here) About 30 minutes ago, I texted Megan that I was in the cinema. She read the text but she never replied which was weird because she always replies after she reads a text from one of us. I walked in the house by myself because the other boys were out getting McDonalds for lunch. "Megan I'm home!" I said as I entered the house. I didn't hear a reply. I yelled to her once more just in case she didn't hear me the first time. "Meg?" I went silent just in case there were any signs that she was here. I listened for noises around the house for signs that Megan is home. All of a sudden, I heard light sobbing noises coming from the bathroom upstairs. I ran up the stairs to where I heard the crying. I knocked on the door of the bathroom. "Megan? Are you in there?" "Go away Luke. Please." I heard her reply. "Is everything okay in there?" I asked her. Was it that time of the month or something?..... "Luke please just leave me alone. I need some time by myself." "No, I'm not leaving until I know that you are okay Megan!" I exclaimed from the other side of the door. After that she didn't reply. Her cries got bigger and she started hissing like she was in pain ore something. "Okay I'm coming in there." I said. I had enough of her shutting me out. I care about her and I need to make sure that she was okay.
"Luke no!" But it was too late. I had already opened the door and a whole different side of Megan that I have never seen before was right before my eyes. "Megan what happened?!" I rushed to her with my eyes wide. The floor was stained with blood. Megan was holding an blade in her hand and her left wrist was cut up and bloody as well. "Luke I told you not to come in!" She said to me. I kneeled next to her on the floor. "I just wanted to make sure you were okay and clearly you aren't. What happened? What made you do this to yourself." I said as I rested my hand on top of hers. "Please tell me." She looked down at the floor and said "When I went to Nick's house to tell him that I was staying home for the summer, I walked in his room and saw him...." She paused like she could barley finish speaking. "He was kissing another girl. He cheated on me Luke..." Her voice cracked at the end. I wasn't going to tell her that I knew this for a while. It would make her heart shatter even more. I pulled her in for a tight hug and whispered in her ear. "Shhh Megan don't cry. It will be alright." I started rocking from side to side while still in the hug, trying to calm her down a bit. "I don't think it will Luke" she said quietly while starting to cry even more. "Yes it will Megan." I say back. "But I really loved Nick" she said, barring her face in the crook of my neck. I stroked her hair before saying " I know this will be very hard for you to move on from but there are always other guys out there who are just dying to be with you and you just don't know it." "Oh yeah? Name one guy that has a crush on me Luke..." And that's where I finally let it all slip out. Finally after 4 years of holding it in, I toughened up and told her. "Me." She let go of the hug and looked up at me. "What?... You like me" "Yes Megan. I always have. Since the first day we met, I fell in love with you. When our eyes met for the first time, it was love at first sight for me. I fell madly in love and I never had the balls to tell you until now." She cracked a bit of a smile as we deeply looked into each other's eyes. It reminded me of the first time we met. When blue eyes met brown. I put my hands on her cheeks and slowly brought her face to mine. "I love you Megan" I said before closing the empty space between our faces with a soft but meaningful kiss. Our lips moved in perfect sync before we broke away.
