”But Chloe I don't know any fans!”, Hanna said and threw her arms out to make her point more clear. She was trying to convince me to talk about 5 Seconds of Summer with her. I really didn't want to though, I was supposed to hate those guys. I didn't really know if I did. I sighed, I gave up.
”So, who's your fave then?”, I said, trying to seem as bored and uninterested as I could.
”Michael!”, Hanna squealed, happy that I decided to talk about her new favorite band.
”...and who's that?” I asked, knowing that I would sound like an idiot in her ears.
”The lead guitarist, duh”, Hanna said and took a bite of her cheese burger. ”And he also does a little vocals, they all do”, she added with her mouth full of burger. I picked at my barely touched veggie burger. I had forgotten to eat because I was talking to much, as usual.
”I love his singing voice live, they're so much better live. I need concert tickets”, Hanna spoke on. I kinda zoned out, I mean you couldn't blame me, I had no idea who she was talking about.
”Chloe?”, she said. ”Are you even listening to what I'm talking about?” she laughed. ”You should have seen your face. Your face is hilarious when you zone out”.
”Sorry”, I mumbled. ”What did you say?”, I asked her with a smile. Hanna stretched out her arm and showed me her phone. The lock screen was a photo of four guys, who I guess were 5 Seconds of Summer.
”Who is the hottest?” she asked me.
”Are you really making me say who is the hottest member of a band I hate? You've got to be kidding me.”
”You don't have to hate them, you know that, right?”, she said and lowered her arm.
”But Austin would be touring the world right now if it wasn't for them”. I said and gave her a 'I know what I'm talking about, okay?'-look.
”And that is a reason for Austin to hate them, not you”.
”But he is my boyfriend, and I want him to live his dream!” I said and gesticulated desperately with my hands.
”I understand that, but you could at least give them a chance. Now, tell me who is the hottest.” This was the way mine and Hannas arguments always were. Short and no one who gets hurt.
”Uhm, I guess... the asian one”.
Hanna just laughed straight into my face. I didn't know what it was that she found funny.
”He is not”, Hanna laughed, ”asian.”
”Does he have a name then?” I asked.
”Calum”, she smiled. ”He plays bass”.
”I think I remember him”, I drifted off. ”From the festival, I mean. We met him afterwards, didn't we?”

Flashback
When the festival was over, and we decided to go home, someone called Austin.
”Hi, we were wondering where you were. Are you okay?”, Austin said, sounding relieved. I guessed he was talking to his sister. There was a long silence.
”Uhm, yeah, I guess. Sure”, Austin said. ”Where is it?”.
”Oh okay, we'll be there in 10 minutes”. He hung up.
”What did she say?” I asked, sure that it was his sister.
”Uh, there's this afterparty at a band member's house and she's going. She invited us too, and I really think we should go cause she's really drunk and she's going to need someone to take her home after this”. I wasn't sure that was the only reason we were going. Austin enjoyed parties, especially when he wanted to take his mind off of something. I mean, I'm not really a party person, I preferred the festival, but I didn't really mind. I looked at Hanna, who gave me an approving smile and then I nodded to Austin.
”It's actually next to Jack's house, so I know where it is”. Jack was the drummer in Outsiders' Town. His house was where they always practiced and I had been there before, watching them.
”Oh okay”, I said and we all three started walking to the party.

When we were a few blocks away we heard the music. We could have easily gotten to the house without knowing that it was the house beside Jack's.
When we opened the door the music streamed out and we could see that the whole house was a mess. There were drunk people everywhere and red cups were lying on the floor. Some of them even had had liquid left in them that had spread out across the fake marble floor. Austin would have a hard time finding Samantha.
I decided to explore the house while Austin hurried off to find his sister. I couldn't help but find the music a little bit too loud, so I thought I'd better get as far away from the source of the sound as possible.
I moved towards the stairs and tried to push past the people talking and laughing, drinking way too much. I finally managed to get to the second floor after many ”excuse me”'s, and the music wasn't as loud in here at all. Before me was now a corridor with four doors, two and two, facing eachother. I chose the closest door to my right and grabbed the doorknob. It was locked. I turned to the left and heard a strange sound. I placed my head at the door to try to hear better, and I was right. I heard moans coming from the room, and I didn't want to check if they had forgotten to lock the door or not.
The door to my left, at the end of the corridor, was half open and I looked in cautiously, not wanting to gain any attention from the teenagers inside. I noticed they played a game of truth or dare. As one of the guys in the room opened his mouth to propose a dare, his eyes went to me. I froze. I didn't plan on talking to anyone here, I was just going to wait for Austin to get back.
”Hey, I haven't seen you here!” the guy said, with a smile that made the corners of his eyes go all crinkly.
”Uhm, I don't think I know you”, I said, trying to sound confident, but it came out as more of a question.
”Me neither, but it's always nice to see a new face around here”. He got up to his feet, walking towards me. Now everyone in the room was staring at the two of us. ”I'm sorry I didn't greet you at the entrance, I mean I am the host of this party, but I got a little busy”, he said with a laugh, throwing out his arms. ”I'm Calum, and you are...?”
”I'm Chloe”, I said, forcing a smile. I felt bad, this guy was actually nice to me.
”Well hi Chloe, do you wanna join us for a round of a classic truth or dare?”
