Vitani's POV

It was now time for charms. Charms was my second favorite subject, potions being my first. I had always been good at charms doing most of them wordlessly and all of them wandless, because I didn't have a wand at the time. As we walked into class, Draco, Blaise and I sat in the front row. Sadly the Golden trio decided to sit next to us. The know-it-all next to me next to her the weasel, and next to him the Potter spawn. Also known, to me, as my Ex-brother.

A few minutes later our professor came in. I was so excited to hear that it was Filius Flitwick. He was a dueling champion! "Alright class, my name is Professor Flitwick, today we will be learning the levitation spell. Now before I tell you the incantation you must know the wand movement. The wand movement is 'swish' and 'flick'." He showed us the movement swishing and flicking his wand. "Now try it with me Swish and Flick!" The class followed his lead and started doing the simple wand movement. "Good, good, good! Now the incantation is 'Wingardium Leviosa' say it with me. Wingardium Leviosa! Great! Now you each should have a feather on your desks I want you to use the levitation spell on your feather to make it float. You may begin." I learned this spell many years ago, so I could do it wandless and wordless. So I settled on helping my friends first. Helping them with the movement and the pronunciation. "Why aren't you doing the spell, to afraid you will make a fool of your self because you can't do a simple spell!" Potter said, loud enough for everyone to hear. All eyes turned to me and I rolled my eyes. "For your information, Potter, I can do this spell, I have been able to do this spell since I was 5. I was helping out my friends rather than just trying to show off." I said with an even voice. "Prove it!" Potter yelled. I sighed, before waving my hand at the feather without taking my eyes off Potter. The feather started to float. I started moving my hand around and it followed my movements. Going in circles, up, down, and all around the room. Then, after deciding o have proved myself enough I lowered the feather back down. The whole class looked shocked, Potter looked super angry. "Your right Potter, Im so worried that I will make a fool of myself for not being able to do a spell I've known for  6 years." I said with a smirk. He turned redder than the weasle's hair in embarrassment. "Wow, that the most amazing levitation spell I've ever seen from a first year. 50 points to Slytherin for amazing spell work. I smiled happily. That's 100 points and I've only had TWO classes! "Amazing work everyone! Class dismissed." After being dismissed, the students filed out of the class and headed to the great hall for lunch or the library.

"How were your first 2 classes?" Asked Felix, a fifth year prefect. "They were great! Somebody got us up by 100 points." Blaise said while giving a smug look. I roll my eyes and let out an exasperated sigh. "No need to float for me Blaise, I'm just good at magic I've been studying magic since I was 3 years old..they just don't expect a first year to be so advanced." I replied not thinking it was a big deal. "Well it's a big deal because your 100 points just put us in the lead for the house cup!" Draco said excited. I smiled, though I didn't really understand it was just the house cup. Maybe it's the bragging rights. I thought to myself. Lunch was going great we were all talking about how we were gonna spend the weekend, and the older students were congratulating me on the points I gained. Sadly all good things "must" come to an end.
"Hey slimy snake!" Yelled someone from behind me. Great... peaceful lunch ruined. I turned around to see Potter and the rest of the Golden trio behind me. The other Slytherins were giving them.a cold look. Some gripping their wands just in case. "What do you want, Potter? I'm trying to have lunch." I asked extremely annoyed. "Who do you think you are trying to show me up, making yourself look better! I've had extensive training. I'm better than you'll ever be! So just stop trying before you end up failing! Because you will!" He said all of this with a smug smirk plastered across his face. The weasle and know-it-all were nodding along with the same smugness. I scoffed "honestly Potter, I don't need to try to show you up. You speak of all this power yet you don't show it. You claim your better than me but you've never proved it. The spells I did in class weren't to show off. I was just doing the spells the way I learned them. Like I said in charms I've been studying magic along with other things since I was the mere age of 3. What have you done to prove anything. You say I'm trying to show you up but you do that all on your own. I'm just trying to go to school to have an education. So if you could just leave me alone and mind your own business we won't have a problem." I said the last sentence in a very cold and threatening voice. He didn't back down though. "I will prove it. I call for a duel!" He yelled. Many gasps went all throughout the Hall. The teachers were like looking around each other nervously. They have heard of Vitani's power and two of them have seen it. The Potters looked proud, as if he had already won. I looked back at my house and friends they all nodded. "Alright I accept. Though we will treat this as a real duel. I have conditions though as a expect you do aswell." He nodded. "It will be a one on one, now seconds, it will be one round. The first person to ethier be knocked unconscious or unable to continue will be the loser. Sound fair?" I said. "Fine. Here are my conditions. No dark magic. And I want there to be an audience, not just the school." I had to hold the smirk coming to my face. He thinks that will stop me? He'll probably end up trying to show off to the crowd and lose focus. "Deal." I said holding out my hand. He shook my hand and magic encased them. Signaling that the duel has been excepted.

"Are you sure you can beat him?" Asked Daphne Greengrass. "Positive." I've known him for a long time. Not to mention I have an edicate memory. He has shown very little magical potential." I said whilst sitting down on the couch. "How though?" Felix asked me. I sighed "Let me tell you a story about the Potter's second child." Mouths dropped throughout the room.

Hey guys. How'd you like the chapter. I worked really hard on it. The next chapter should be out in a few days, 2 weeks at most. I am really busy so sometimes it's harder for me to make chapters. Happy 4th of July 🧨🎇🎆
