HELLO MY LOVELIES!!!! I am so so sorry for the long wait but I am in highschool and I've been getting alot of work recently and I have finals to work on so again I apologize. Happy may 24th 2021 (6 days till my birthday 🎉) anyways let the chapter commence
Vitani's pov
As I made it back to the castle I was met with none other than James Potter himself. Great. Just great! I think to myself. "And just WHAT do you think you're doing out of bed wandering the castle at this time?!" He barked. I internally sighed. "WELL?!" he yelled, "you snakes think you're so high and mighty that the rules don't apply to you? HMM?!" he spat. Luckily for me lady magic was on my side cuz just as he was about to berate me again I heard a familiar voice. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Proffesor Snape!! "Really Potter because I seem to remember you doing the same thing when you attended here as a student. Strutting around the castle like you owned the place." Proffesor Snape drawled. Thank God! I thought to myself. "It just so happens that I've asked Miss Forest here to help me gather some potion ingredients as she is at the top of my class and is working to get honors in my class. This is simply one of the tasks." He lied oh thank Circe! I thought. Potter scoffed "really and how come I didn't know that there was an honors option? My son should also be able to do the honors work! Or are just playing favorites?!" He asked. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes "that's rich coming from you." I mumbled though I think professor snape heard me he didn't say anything. "The honors option is only for my students that are passing. I do not play favorites unlike some..." He slightly jabbed "I have ravens, puffs, slytherins, and surprisingly a few lions that are on this honors course." He stated. Wait he wasn't lying about that? James Potter stomped off practically fuming. I looked at my head of house and mouthed a 'thank you' at him. He nodded and gestured for me to follow him. We went out of the castle towards what I assumed was a plant garden full of potion ingredients. To my surprise I saw the twins there.
"Oh why hello there/little snake." The twins spoke Fred speaking first(the slash means they switched speaking) "hello George and Fred." I greeted politely. Their eyes sparkled for a second. Guess people don't normally great with George first. "Enough chit chat. I need you to find wolfsbane, monkshade, peppermint, dragon's breath, snap dragon's, and devil's snare." Proffesor Snape commanded we nodded and decided that Fred would get the dragons breath and monkshade, George would get the wolfsbane and peppermint, and I would get the devil's snare and snap dragon's.
Time skip
I had already gotten the snap dragon's with ease and now I just had to get the devil's snare. I remembered from herbology that the devil's snare was sensitive to light. I grabbed my want and said "Lumos Maxima" a bright light shown from my wand as I used the garden tools to grab some of the dangerous plant. I walked back to the front to see my head of house and the twins also on their way back. "Well it seems like you've got all the ingredients correct and enough to last me some time. And congrats to Forest for not getting eaten by the devil's snare or loss of fingers from the snap dragon's." Proffesor Snape mused. I did a joking curtsey as the twins jokingly bowed to me "yes yes wonderful job/your Royal hissyness" they spoke, George speaking first this time. "Why thank you kind gents" I chuckled out. Proffesor Snape just shook his head. And told us to head back to our dorms, handing the twins a slip so that they can get back without getting in trouble as Snape walked with me. "So how did it go." He asked me. "It went well some are chosing to stay neutral, others chose us. No one chose the "light". I've also made great friends with your friend. We got along swell. I think I might be his new favorite person." I jokingly bosted. Snape just chuckled while saying; "only you can make friends with someone like him in a few hours considering all things in the past." "As I said to him. No hard feelings. That was a long time ago and I understood why he did it. However that's not the point. The point is everything went great. Thank you for covering for me." He nodded, "thank you for not immediately kicking him out, and hearing what he had to say." I nodded as I turned towards the painting, having realized we made it back to the dorms and whispered the password. The door opened and I walked in; only to be knocked down seconds later by an anxious and worried looking Draco. "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED WE WERE!!" He yelled at me. "I'm fine Draco just had some business to take care of, and then went to this potions honor course thing with proffesor Snape and the twins, surprisingly." I laughed pushing him off me, and standing up. He was still pouting so I gave him a hug. He brightend up and hugged back. The hug soon being joined by Pansy, Blaise, Daphne, Theo, and some other first year slytherins. "I'm glad to know you all care so much." I chuckled. "Of course we do you bloody idiot! You're a Slytherin! And slytherins stick together." Daphne said while flicking my forehead. I laughed a bit before telling them that we should all head off to bed. They agreed and we all went to our rooms. Once I made it to mine I took a quick shower, brushed my teeth and hair and went to change into my pajamas.

I sighed tiredly as I flopped on my bed looked at the picture of my grandparents before drifting off into a peaceful sleep.
