“Ne~Old man, why won't you let me go out and sail? It's not like I'll die or something!”

Sitting on a chair and writing something in his book, Klein grumbled in an annoyance as he whined like a kid, which he is, before glaring at the renowned Dark King who lazily scrawled on the bed.

"That's exactly what's going to happen. You will surely die out there." Rayleigh said, amused as he watched the blonde haired kid he raised sitting like Prince, filled with elegance and grace. Rayleigh unnoticeably frowned and thought, He wouldn't say anything about his Past since I've adopted him three years ago. Could he really be a royalty who ran away from home? But how could a Royalty's son get here in Sabaody Archipelago by himself?

A few years ago, Rayleigh found Klein washed up in the shore and decided to help because he couldn't find it in himself to just ignore an injured kid who obviously need helps. When he asked Klein about his past, the blonde haired kid would turn gloomy and hostile, causing Rayleigh to avoid to the topic.

He didn't mean to raised Klein — but upon meeting Shaki, the blonde haired kid became a bit more lively and Shaki decided she's going to take care of Klein as her own, and Rayleigh also agreed.

"... you're just over thinking! Besides, just like I said—hey! Hey, Old man! Are you even listening? Ne!?” Seeing the older man paying no attention to him, the kid scoffed.

“Geez, I'm talking here and you're out there daydreaming." Klein said, shutting his book closed before turning towards Rayleigh with a small frown. His chest leaning against the back of the chair, and his arms crossed while his face leaned on it. Both his legs were on each side, lazily hanging on the chair.

Rayleigh blinks before faking a cough, smiling with playful irritation. "Kid, quit calling me 'Old man' already. I told you to call me—

"Old man?"

"No. You could call me Father, Dad, or something. Be a bit more endearing to this poor man, would ya?" Rayleigh finished.

Klein raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised. Then, his expression turned lazy as he swung his feet, saying to Rayleigh unamused. "Whatever."

Seeing the unamused face of Klein, Rayleigh laughed.

"Now, Now. Don't give me such a boring expression .." Rayleigh said, standing up before walking towards the door.

"Ne, where are you going~?" Klein asked unsure, watching Rayleigh's figure walk out without a word.

Klein blink in confusion, "Geez, he actually ignored me?" He whispered to himself before turning himself back into facing the other direction, leaning his back against the chair with both arms used as a pillow.

Suddenly he turned at the side, where a Black Nine-Tailed Fox was silently sleeping.

"It's been 3 years and he said all of my training was well and done. Could it be that there's more of it?" Klein mumbled to himself. But then, he stopped like he got an idea.

‘Could it be...that he figured out something about my past?’

"Damn. I've never thought about that." Klein whispered to himself, growing a bit nervous and anxious at the idea before jumping down the chair and dusting away the nonexistent dust.
