Morning came all too well and familiar as I trudged my way into Hugh's room, this was still a thing with me and I knew he was used to it as well, he would wait till I picked out that suit for him and then we would leave. I sigh as I look at all the options till I found the perfect shade of mocha, as I pressed lightly on the fabric of his shirt with the steamer I hadn't noticed Hugh was done showering.

I turned to look at him and look away immediately, there he was standing naked in front of me, this was one of the days he didn't care to publicize all the inches he had and that glorious tan.

"At least put some boxers on." I spoke facing the shirt I was steaming. This is why I didn't understand Hugh why would he give me a show like we're at a nudist beach then tell me he doesn't feel anything. He turns to me with a smirk, what was he trying to do anyway this wasn't his normal behavior.

"The dinner with the associates is at 7.30 Glasgow Hotel, I already prepared the main dishes you'll have I will be going there to check the last details so you're going to the office alone." I spoke leaving him to wear the rest of his suit.

"I'm coming with you." This really wasn't Hugh what happened to the brute I hate. "No thanks I've got it handled." He chuckles as he flips on his blazer. "I never said can I come with you." I made a mental note to make sure to be precise when I'm talking to him today something was off.

I walked downstairs with him in tow, I could feel his eyes on me if that stare went on further I would have holes in me. "Morning Sir." That was Nolan trying to talk me, the traitor, I was mad at him for not telling me what his boss was doing, I missed essential sleep because of him.

I make breakfast quickly and silently. "You're attending the dinner tonight."I heard him speak, no command in between bites of his sausage. "No." I replied flatly.

"I never asked you I told you." I didn't have enough sage for another group of cackling devils. "No and even if you asked no, I have sleep to catch up on, so no, unless you want me to faint at the dinner and last time I went out with you my allergy acted up so No." He looks at me with eyes that would make me flinch on most days today I was having none of it.

Justin and I had shows to catch up on, whilst Simon sends me memes. "You must be tired." I knew that was his okay, he really didn't want to admit to anything let alone losing a battle.

As I finished my own breakfast he stood up to leave with Nolan. The two always had something private to talk about. I wore my shoes, grabbed my keys and messenger bag. "Ready?" I nod as I'm led out by Hugh. I could feel it in the air and in my bones that nagging feeling that something unexpected is going to happen but what?

As we made it to the hotel everything was being set up and lucky for me Justin was here, I really had to get rid of Hugh. "You really didn't need to come and I'm sure your paperwork is piling by now."

"I'm only here for a while Mel just to make sure you're safe." He smirks, what was strange I'm sure Justin saw it too with his audible gasp was the hand that brushed up on my ass. "Did I sit on something?" I asked. "No just a loose thread." His reply made sense but what held my interest was if I had the loose thread why didn't he just say so rather than patting my ass.

I moved away from the two men and continued my work as he spoke with the manager. "Damn that ass." I whipped around to a slightly tall, chestnut hair, caramel male, he was cute but I wouldn't have made that comment with Hugh around. "Thanks." I replied turning back to my tablet.

"So what's your name?" I knew this guy had to go before he had a black eye, I could see Justin from the corner of my pointing to the danger I knew that was coming. "Mel and I'm really not interested please leave." I said that so fast making him scrunch up his eyebrows in confusion. "Just give me your name and maybe number." I could see Hugh fuming as he walked toward us.

"Come back in an hour, meet me right here, now I'm kinda busy." I flash a smile and he decided to scurry off. "Mel, what was that about?" He said it so audibly that people in the lobby and in the spacious room where the dinner was to be held heard it.

"Nothing at all." He snickers. "I'm not stupid Mel, that was definitely something, Nolan teach the idiot a lesson." I had to do something quick. "Nolan stay, it was nothing Hugh please don't make a scene." I plead.

"Are you ashamed of me?" He asks. Shit, not today, let this version of him come another day Lord why today of all days. "No it's not like that, I'm not ashamed of you at all." He smirked and sent Nolan on his merry way to hurt the innocent man.

"Now you see why I told you I'd come and protect you." This wasn't protection it was my social funeral. Who would come near me now? Inwardly I whined. Today was just too much for me why did I get the version of Hugh that likes to show off today, he goaded me into saying all that I did.

When Nolan returns he has a slightly bruised hand. I pity that guy. "I have to get to work, it seems you did a good job with the place." I knew that was all I was going to get. Just please let him leave.

Hugh left with two of his other men, I hadn't noticed they were here. "Why are you still here?" I asked Nolan with a frown. "Boss said so and I'm to drive you." He was keeping tabs on me now shit. I walked over to Justin and threw myself onto him.

"Babe I am so sorry you're having one of those days." I really appreciated the hug. "I don't know what's going on with him, it's like he's some weird overprotective male with possession issues." Justin chuckles. "At least you tried to help the cute guy if only he knew that you were honey to be admired from afar." I didn't want that, I wanted to be touched and tasted.

"I don't think I want that." I whined sitting on one of the seats. "Sorry hey, what is going on with these black pants though, no wonder Hugh wanted to give you a hand massage, your ass looks great and with all its thickness." I rolled my eyes, having this ass just got a man beaten.

"I just hope that guy is okay." I whispered. Though Nolan wasn't near us I knew his watchful eyes were on me and any man who was not Justin would be steered away. "Guard is cute but he's scaring all the boys away." Justin whined. "Sorry."

We work on the dinner for the rest of the day, and enjoy our own dinner at the hotel. "This is the second time we've hung out and it wasn't the office or Simons car." It really had been like that we never seemed to be able to run and hide.

"I enjoyed it too, I will see you at work tomorrow." We hug again as he makes his way to his car. "Snitch this to your boss and Justin gets hurt, you'll die very painfully Nolan." He nods a bit shaken as we make way to the car.

Arriving home I didn't need to eat I had already had dinner so all I had to do was shower and head to bed. Having done all that I checked my messages and immediately I began to talk to the one and only Striker he always has time besides being a CEO himself.

Time moved so fast, I guess it was because I was so absorbed with talking to Striker, as midnight came I heard something shatter downstairs. "Not again." I mumbled.

"No don't touch me Nolan, Mel!"

"Melbourne!" Why was Hugh yelling my name I asked myself going down the stairs. "Hey Melie, ready for bed already." What was going on today, how did he get this drunk.

"You're drunk."
