New ninjago city

Cole carried Dawn into a back alleyway and sat down for a rest as Dawn was heavier than he had expected her to be. A drunk person came down the alleyway and was sick on a cat.

Cole got out his phone to see if there were any bus routes out of the city before he remembered that he and Dawn were wanted by the police.

He went over to Dawn and put on some more ghost medicine. Then he ordered a taxi and waited for it to come.

When it came he climbed into the taxi and pulled Dawn in behind him.

"I'm sorry but right now I'm not serving ghosts" said The driver.

" Drive or you'll regret it " said Cole and pulled out his throwing stars. The drivers eyes widened and he quickly drove off.

The street

Nya, Lloyd and Zane got onto the street.

"The city is massive" said Lloyd " we don't have a chance of finding him"

"If we split up, are chances of finding him increase by 29.56%" said Zane " I will go to city security, Nya can search the back streets, and Lloyd can go with the police"

They went away in the different directions.

The taxi

The taxi driver got outside new ninjago city and looked at Cole.

"Where do you want to go?" Asked the driver

Cole considered the question. He couldn't go anywhere densely populated and he couldn't go to a place the ninja knew he might go.

"The village of vandra" said Cole "and if you tell anyone I will find you and kill you"

The driver drove on. After a while they arrived at Vandra and Cole carried Dawn out. Cole's mother had been born here but he had never told the others that.

Cole knocked on a door. It opened to reveal a middle aged woman in a green dress.

"Who are you?" Asked the woman

"Can you help me?" asked Cole "my sister has been hurt and I can't take her to hospital because we are ghosts"

The woman looked down at them in pity. "Come in" she said and Cole took Dawn in.

They sat down in a sitting room. "Now" said the woman "tell me about yourself. I am Amelia"

"I'm Jonah" said Cole "and this is Alex"

Amelia could tell there was something strange about them but she couldn't tell what. Jonah looked familiar. She took them too her spare room and left them there.

The room used to belong to her Husband and had a bed,a window and a desk. Cole carried Dawn in and put her on the bed before floping onto the floor.

At six Amelia came in and gave Cole some soup.

"What happened to your sister?" Asked Amelia

"Someone threw a water balloon at her and she went into a coma" said Cole "I sorted him out"

Amelia looked closer at Cole's features and knew where she had seen him before.

"You are Lilly's son!" She said

" How could you tell? " Asked Cole

"She was my friend" said Amelia " how is she? And how did you become a ghost? "

"She... Died" said Cole "I don't want to talk about it"

Amelia left the room wondering why no-one had told her about Lilly's death.

Cole went over to Dawn and wondered whether she would ever wake up. He tried to eat the soup but it was wet and hurt his mouth. He had never felt so alone before.
