Me and Chris began to talk he tells me bout his situation right now. How his mom just died to breast cancer and how strong she was. I started thinking of my mom and how she was never there. I told him how I would cry and yell at my mom like nothing even mattered. A strange knock came from the door as I laid down on the soft deep couch. He said Keisha I popped my head over the top of the couch and said there's a woman at the door for you. I walked to the questionable and confused. As I glanced out the door at my mom. I froze over whelmed by all types of different emotions. I said why are you here? Why would come back? I don't want you here leave me alone!
"Keisha baby I'm sorry." "No I'm sorry." As I tried to slam the door in my moms face. Chris caught it and asked her "why would you leave a child alone?" I walked a way before I could even hear he reply I walked into my bedroom. Tears rolled down my cheeks like the oceans waves. I collapsed on the floor feeling a since of abandonment and pushed myself against the floor boards and began to scream. I was suddenly took back to the day months ago when she had left me in this very apartment.
Chris came and picked me up effortlessly and said " she is gone nothing she does can affect you anymore." I had forgotten it was Sunday had forgotten it was Christmas week. I had forgotten it all. As he placed me on the bed he kissed me and said" I love you , and nobody but us mattered." I fell asleep quickly after and I woke up at 12am he was wrapped around me. As lied there I only 5 more hours till I had to get ready for school.
