It had been a couple days since we had arrived in Memphis and today was the day we found out the gender of our baby. This is our first visit to the doctor. So we really don't know anything or what to expect.
So now in the car in a tube top and a maxi skirt in some sandals. I desperately waited to get all the news.
"Hello we have an appointment with Dr. Wright the ultrasound technician." (Me)
"Oh, okay your name?" (Nurse)
"Keisha Sanders." (Me)
"Oh okay the doctor will take you now. Right this way." (Nurse)
She placed us in a room and said the doctor would be in.
She said to get undressed and put on the night gown. Doctor came in and greeted us and started preparing the machine and told me to lay back. He squeezed the gel on my stomach and rubbed the microphone across my stomach on the screen appeared a head and a arm and then four tiny legs.
"Your having twins. The one on the right is a boy and the other a girl. They are both healthy and have strong heartbeats." As she wiped the gel off.
I was crying and so did Chris I got dressed and we headed out to the car. We both in complete shock crying said I loved you as we drove away.
