"Almost there." Sam said as he and Guy got to the roof. Guy looked around for a bit. Sam walked to him until he got tripped by his own foot. Guy caught Sam before he fell down. They looked at each other's eyes for a minute. They pulled back blushing and looking away.
Guy said, "I want to thank you for paying the bill for me." Sam said, "No problem. It's the least I can do. So, this was your first time in the market place?" He said, "Yeah, I never get to see things. It's really nice up close." Sam said, "I'm glad you enjoyed it. Come on, I'll show you where I live." He grabbed Guy's hand and pulled him forward.
Inside the abandoned home, Guy asked, "Is this where you live?" Sam said, "Yeah. Just me and Mr Jenkins. We come and go as we want. Plus, it has the great view." He moved the curtain and shows the view of the palace. Guy looked at the palace feeling homesick. He starting to miss his family and friends.
"It's wonderful." Guy said. Sam said, "I know, right? Just think what would be like to live there. To have servants to do whatever you want them to do." He said, "Yeah, people will tell you where to go and how to dress." "Well, it's better than here. You have to steal food and money while avoiding the guards." "You aren't free to make your own decisions." "It's like you feel..." "You're just..." "Trapped." Two of them said the last part together.
They looked at each other and stared at each other's eyes. It's like they understand each other.
Sam cleared his voice and asked before tossed the apple that Mr Jenkins suddenly stolen before to Guy, "So, you said that you live around here?" Guy caught it and said, "Yes, I do. But I ran away and I am not going back." He asked, "Really? Why did you?" Guy said, "It's my parents. They were forcing me to get married. Both of my brothers are already married, not to mention, they're out of town. And I'm the only one who hasn't. "
Sam sat down next to Guy and said, "Oh. I'm sorry that you have to go through it. It's not fun to marry someone that you don't love. You want to marry someone who is right for you." Guy said, "That's what I told them. But they wouldn't understand. The only people who understoods me are my friends and you." Sam looked at the undercover prince in shocked while blushing.
He continues, "I know it may sound strange, but besides my friends, you was there helping me out. Even we just met." Sam said before moving closer to Guy, "Yeah. I'm always there to help you out if you need anything." Guy smiled and said as their faces are inches close, "You know, Sam, you can be annoying sometimes, but you are so sweet."
Mr Jenkins kept his beak shut not trying to squawk excitement as he watched Sam and Guy moves their faces closer. They were really closer to each other. Their faces were blushing, but they wouldn't care. Their lips were centimeters closer. They slowly closed their eyes as their lips are coming together. The lips are really...super...close. They're about to press together...
"There you are!" Both Sam and Guy were interrupted by the guards who somehow got in Sam's home.
Guy and Sam yelled, "They're after me!" Then turned to asked each other, "They're after you?" Guy said as the guards are coming, "This is bad! My father must've sent them!" Sam asked, "Grrumph, do you trust me?" He asked, "Do I what?" "Do you trust me?" Sam asked again before stick his hand out. Guy looked at the guards who are getting closer. He said before grabbing Sam's hand, "Yes." "Then hang on! Fly, Mr Jenkins!" Sam said pulled the prince undercover on Jenkins' back and the Chickeraffe flew out the window.
The guards watched Mr Jenkins, Sam, and Guy flying away from the building. The three of them are free from danger. But...
"Did he know that Chickeraffes can't fly?" One of the guards asked. Realizing that Mr Jenkins can't, the three of them fell down through the sheets and on the sand. They began to ran until McWinkle is already here.
McWinkle grabbed Sam by the yellow fur, bring him up for an eye contact and said, "We just keep running into each other. Don't we, street rat?" Mr Jenkins starts attacking the chief making him to let Sam go. Sam grabbed Guy and yelled, "Flee!" But they were also ambushed by more guards.
After McWinkle threw Jenkins to the pot, Gluntz shot the net launcher at Sam and caught him. Guy yelled, "Sam!" McWinkle said, "Looks like it's off to dungeon for you, I-Am." Sam yelled, "Grrumph, go! Get out of here! Flee! Save yourself!" Guy wants to run, but he can't let those guards take Sam to the dungeon. Not after they got to know each other.
Guy puts his foot down and ordered, "Let him go!" McWinkle mocked, "Ooh! I'm so scared! What are you gonna do about it? Tattletale on the Prince?" The guards laughed. "You'll regret those words!" Guy growled before pulled his hood back revealing his face.
The guards stopped laughing when they sees the Prince right in front of them and gasped before bowing down. McWinkle gulped before he said while bowing down and making Sam to bow down too, "P-Prince Guy-Am-I!" Sam asked in shocked, "The prince?" Mr Jenkins mimics the explosion that his mind has been blown.
McWinkle asked afraid, "W-w-what a-are you doing here outside of the palace and with this street rat?" Guy said, "It's not of your concern! Do as you were told! Get him out of that net!" He said nervously, "I would do it, Your Highness. Except my orders comes from Snerz. You have to have a word with him." He growled furiously, "Oh I will. And you better be right or else."
