Disclaimer: Popee says Bad Boy Words
Popee's POV
"Dr.Popee!" I heard my name called out and turned on my heel, sliding from speedwalking. "What?" I growled. Dumbass staff members don't know to be a doctor involves moving quickly, I don't have time to slow down and chit-chat, especially since I'm the best in the hospital. "Damn, if you weren't so good, you'd be fired for your mouth," she spat. "Good thing it's more important to save lives than be nice then, huh? Walk with me, I don't have time." I pushed my glasses up and pulled my mask down.
"So, I didn't get to you this morning, but you have an intern coming in at 12 p.m. today." I scoffed, "Again? Damn, it would've been nice to know this earlier," I glanced at my watch, it was 10:53, "This one better be better than the last, for bitches in their junior and senior year of college, you'd think they'd know shit.". She shook her head. "That's why they're here Dr. Popee, to learn, so 'they'd know shit'.". I slid my mask back on. "I'm not their damn teacher," I growled before entering my current patient's room, the one I guess I'll be sharing with the intern.
"Hey buddy, how are you feeling?" I said, talking softly and walking over to him. "I'm fine, thank you," He whispered out. I let out a deep breath and glanced out the room to see his parents sleeping on the bench outside his room. I'd be worried sick too if my kid was beaten up this bad by some ignorant bullies. "Well," I set my clipboard down on the table beside his bed. "We take vitals at 11:00 and it's 10:55, so let's go ahead and it getcha did, alright?" He gave a confused look, "I thought nurses did that," he mumbled. "Usually they do."
I pulled the dynamap (vitals machine) over and did the routine, mumbling and writing down the information onto his sheet. "Alright, kid. You're all good," I said and wrote on a sticky note some plain notes. He gave me a light smile and a small nod. I walked out and woke his parents, giving some information and reminding them they can't stay. After some sad goodbyes and thank yous, I put my stern persona back on.
I respect those in need of me and those I choose are up to me. I walked down the hall, looking in rooms simply as an overview. A calm day. The worst kinds of days. Usually, we'd be on someone who'd come in at like 3 in the morning, but there's nothin'.
Like, there should be at the hospital, sirens were wailing. "MOVE, MOVE, MOVE!" I hear shouting. "Oh fuck yes," I whispered. Watching everyone space out as I tightened my mask. "Popee, we need you in A-34, Popee, we need you in A-34.". I took off, pushing casual talkers out of my way. I slid my ID card down to the reader and pushed open the door and holding it, waiting for the patient's bed to enter.
"Alright, age nineteen, and we got a gunshot in the leg and four stab wounds in the chest!" A nurse called out. "Who the fuck would stab someone if they had a gun?" I said, grabbing what I need to work. "Who cares, this just makes it easier for us," I continued and began to work.

(Y/N) POV
I pulled up, ten minutes early. I stepped out of my car, straightening my clothes, and perfecting my hair. I walked up to the entrance, spitting my gum out into the trashcan by the door. I went to the receptionist and gave her a warm smile. "Hello, I'm (Y/N) (L/N). I'll Dr. Popee's intern for the week.". She gave me a sorrowful look and a forced smile. "Yes, dear. He's currently in surgery, but I'll lead you to one of his patients. He was supposed to do a psychological rundown of the patient at this time, so you could go through some basic questions with him and introduce yourself," I was handed a clipboard and told to follow.
